Black Library Prices.

I was just looking through the BL website checking out the GK goodness and I was shocked at how expensive the e-editions of the novels are! Why is there only a dollar or two difference in price between a real book and an ebook?! Is this the usual way of things or is it more GW shenanigans?

On a side note... How long are the "quick read" novels? I was looking at the Nemesis Dreadknight novel but I am apprehensive to buy it if it is really short.

Please keep in mind that I am pretty old school when it comes to books and might be over reacting to the situation! 😉😋

What are the books that scared you? In general (not GW in particular) softcovers and e-books are about the same price, hardcover is much more expensive.

What scared me was that I saw physical novels costing the same as electronic products.... I admit that I am old, and that perhaps this is just the way of things now, but still!

2 physical books (Grey Knight, and Dark Mechanicus) are "out of stock" for $9.50, and their e-versions are listed for $11.99!!!!! Now that IS shady business

Being about the same age I tend to agree with you, Brother: electronic books should be cheaper than paper ones. Still, I would say that a price in the range of $10 is a fair one also for e-books. At the same time, if they want to empty their storage, they can make old paper versions much cheaper.

What I find outrageous is the price of e-codices and e-manuals: they should cost half of what they charge. And if you buy he paper version you should have the e-version for free, or at most at $5 (just like the Amazon autorip for music). Let's say that for the i-version you pay $5 more just because it is i-something...

I never said what books i would be using

And then again, such paper is probably not very comfy anyway.... i've seen the tablets have rounded corners though, perhaps they are more comfy than one expects?
