Crowe

10 Terminators - 2 psycannon - 2 hammer

10 Purifiers - 4 psycannon - 1 hammer - 5 halberd - rhino

10 Purifiers - 4 psycannon - 1 hammer - 5 halberd - rhino

Psydread

Psydread

1500 - 10 more models - more range - more scoring units - more psycannons - less points wasted on a second HQ and psybolt ammo for small squads

I actualy had a list very simular to yours, but I like the strong hq in 6th eddition and the debate of crowe and cleasing flame being rending always scares me away from using him in serious games as it can change a lot. but I may give it a try, crowe has always performed well for me though just scared if I run into abbadon or another elite army.

Crowe isn't as weak as he appears, stat wise he's just a little weaker than Abaddon but can go toe-to-toe with him with his battle stances. Even if he were to die the Heroic Sacrific psychic power just might drop Abaddon off the table.

But then again that's just wild speculation on my part with a sprinkle of mad hope.

I actually really like Crowe in 6th - with the challenge rules he suddenly became viable. He follows my transports keeping out of LoS and counter charges if my Purifiers get engaged

You could put the two terminator squads together and then choose to Combat Squad them. That way you could give the entire squad Psybolt Ammo (saving you the extra 20 points). From there you could decide to either upgrade your IC's or put another storm bolter + psybolt + dozer blade onto the rhino.

I fell in love with the Crowe model even though he's extremely static. And I honestly think Purifiers are the best PA units in the game. Usually I like to deck out my Purifiers to be 4 Psycannon, 2 Hammers, 4 Halberds. But with the new rules on how combated squads can now share the same transport I'm beginning to think of a different way to run a 10 man Squad. You could have 2 Psycannons, 1 Incinerator, 1 Hammer, 3 Halberds, 3 Falchions. That way your Psybolt ammo is more cost efficient and you could combat squad the squad to make one shooty and the other CC oriented.

If a squad of purifiers and crowe are in combat with a unit, do you get 2 cleansing flames?

Never had that happen but it seems nasty.

Can't see why not as they are two separate units.

Yes they can. You just choose which Cleansing Flame is cast first. And this is also why I wish Crowe was a Psker Level 2. >.>
