GK / Cron

I need some help. Considering a footlist but i'm 110 points over - what do I chop - from where? Will it even work? I want the royal court to support Kara's unit in the middle somehow and add to my AV14 threat with the Immortals.

88 models - 6 scoring units - lots of melta - lots of gauss - lots of plasma

Well...

I dont think, you'll need both, destek and stormtek, My suggestion: kick the desteks and 10Imms+1Stormtek...

give the overlord weave (2+) and reg, stormtek gets a field and imms a nightscythe, now the unit should be fast enough to be, where you need them, you get actually some AA in your army and with a better armoured Overlord, you also get a pretty tough unit^^

Im thinking nightscythe's would be a better fit as well rather than a complete footlist. I like the fact that you dont lose the troops when the transport gets popped - it gives me some AA and a late scoring threat. With flyers as transports Nec maybe have the most to offer us as allies.

Yeah and also an Annihilation-Barge would be pretty good for AA ^^ I always argue with myself what I should take, since both of them have their pros and cons.. (Armour13 and Jink vs Flyer-Transporter, 90 vs 100P and so on..^^)

Btw I'm also trying to build a GK-Nec-List^^ there I use 2 Nightscythes with 7-8 Gauss-Immortals with a Stormtek and one with Overlord (2+save, Scythe, MSS and Reg)..

Yeah I came to pretty much the same conclusion (2 x nightscythes), though would I be right in saying the nightscythes have to be in hover mode to disembark the troops?

Im wondering if this is the case whether the transported squads are maybe better kept cheap as scorers - a contingency plan as they will only be deployed end game; and a better use for the HQ could be found on the table from the start.

I prefer the scythes to the A-Barge because the 24" range is less of a problem on a flyer.

nope, since they cant hover... necrons really have the best flyer-transport..

the last question in the errata allows you to embark into the scythe and some other errata allows you to disembark (though u r only allowed to fire snap-shots if you moved more than 24"... if you move 23,9" you'll be able to shoot with full BS)

Well, your plan is ok, if your playing full Necron, but you're using the Crons as allies, so you wanted to use them for tanks? so 7-8 is Minimum (for Imms, if you take Warriors, minimum 10..)

Well, thats nice very shooty...

A thing, which you could easily swap: 1. no chimera for the plasma-canon (why should they stay in a chimera? -> you might kick the other chimeras as well). Also: your necs just have the duty to kill tanks, 5warriors with stormtec are more than capable of this job, so 2x5warriors with nightscythe and you save another 130p

with the saved points you'll be able to get 1-2x 2apes fot the henchmen and maybe a second inqui for another henchmen squad to take another 3 servitors with plasma or heavybolter...?
(why no chimera: they are not that save and if the enemy succeds in exploding it, they'll suffer enough damage..so in my opinion they are weaker in a chimera..)

The main reason I put the Chimera's in was actually to add some 36" range for the opening turns. I was definately toying with the idea of another Inq/Serv squad and some Jokaero though.

I followed your advice with the warrior squad size, though im totally open to reducing the numbers again and opening up a few extra points. The first squad from reserve will be a suicide unit aimed at the greatest high AV threat - the second would prob be used to score as my Interceptors cannot with only Cortaez for an HQ - they will be used for warp quake and contesting.
