1750 list for Gk. Purifiers and Deepstrike

Idea for this list is the units in the rhinos make a distraction for the strike squads. 3 big units of strike squads should be enough to get objectives and pour storm bolter and psycannon fire in. Daemonhammers and Halberds complete the offensive power of the Strike Squads, but the main firepower comes from the 5 rhinos pouring 40 psycannon shots a turn into vehicles and infantry.

What would you like me to say? And what's the "context" of this list. You looking for a comp score or what?

just give an opinion on it. do you like it? what would you change. what weaknesses you think it has?

I know flyers would be a problem, but I don't want to sacrifice what i have in the list now to cover just one possible unit.

Well ok... First off all, for 405 pts I'm pretty sure you get 3 psyfle dreads that's 12 str8 48" range shots and its hell of a lot cheaper then the purgation squads and far better option. However, if taking purgation squads, I would take all over the same weapon, that way the entire unit always shoots. Not 3/5 and you're wasting points. I would also probably take a HB razorback with them instead for the extra mobile fire support.

If taking purifiers.... Take a 10 man. Take 4 psycannons then combat squad if you wish. With psyammo it's far better. The rhino is a good choice. Becuase if you combat squad the 4 psycannons can stay in cover and shoot and be rhino transports the 5 melee orientated 18" towards close combat.

For the strike squads, just give the justicar a halberd if you so with. It's far better, don't bother with the others you can save points for other things. Intact the points you save on halberds you can give you OMI the psyker upgrade and take the primaris power from the divination lore. (Re rolls to hit).


Maybe with all those points shave and saved you can get a warband... Plasma cannon servitors with re rolls are now one of my favourite units!!

A few things I've learned in my games that influence how I play:

Purgators and Purifiers go in the rhinos so they are more protected (hence only 2 psycannons in every squad as they're firing out the hatch). Never ever ever leave the protection of the rhino unless it's wrecked/blown up.

Taking a razorback and leaving your unit of GK to walk is not the best idea IMO as when the razorback suffers a weapon destroyed result it becomes a rhino you can't shoot out of... and your guys are still on foot.

Strike Squads......yeah the halberds were just taking up points....

Purifier 10 man. VERY EXPENSIVE

Purifiers aren't that expansive, if you take a 10 man and shave the other points like I said, you don't even have to give 'em halberds, the unit I take is 299pts. I never take anything over. 300 so I'm 1 point away from to expansive

In that list, you have 61 MEQ, that's a very decent amount for 1750. If you swapped out what I said you would have... 46 plus some better heavy support and some other cool things. Plus 10 GEQ if you took my henchman unit! That's a well balanced list.

I'm very loathe to have walking units of GK. But let's see waht this list would look like:

I can honestly say I don't like the look of that list....

I said keep the rhinos... And I didn't say take the lascannon / plasma gun razor back. They are über expansive.

And you had 15 purifiers all up, I said just make 1 a 10 man. And the servitors are a troops choice.

You don't like the list because you completely changed the list to not what I suggested. I don't like that list you made either

Rhino for the strike squads, razor back for the 5 man purifiers, razor or rhino for the 10 man purifiers. Keep them heavy bolters. Nice and cheap.
