2000 Point GK Army

Welcome to the forum. Looks like it adds up to the way you have it. Interesting format you've written your list in. Is that the way the tournie requires it? Just give your Justicars frag grenades or targeters and your good to go.

lol the tourny doesnt require it to be like that...I am super OCD when it comes to stuff like this. Its a GW Gladiator tournament is it supposed to be in a certain format? It is my first actual tournament

I agree with Brother NemesisForce, your list looks solid and would benefit from his suggestions.

In terms of format, it is just eisier to write:

8 man PAGK Squad

Or something similar.

I can see how it would feel better to write it the way you have, much more imposing, and definatly more official looking

Yep all looks good but I would swap Stern for a Grand Master I think the extra wound will come in handy.

Yes, I agree with Spartan. And you have exactly the 4 points needed to do it. He gets 1 extra attack as well. Hammerhand, Holocaust and that re-roll thing are cool but I don't like only two wounds at 2000 points. Too risky. As Constantine said, writing lists that way makes it much easier to read. And calculate!

well its my first tournament so I am not sure what to expect lol. The other thing I am thinking of is putting out

30x SMs
20x Attack Terminators
2 Predators with lascannons
1 LRC
5 Terminators as the HQ

Seems to me its a pretty solid list even with Stern, I've used him a couple times and I've never regretted it. But I'm not sure about special characters in tournaments, aren't they supposed to be permitted by both players before use?

all it said was no "movie marines" is he one of those? what is a "movie marine"?

It was a small list that gw made for fun, too illustrate how marines should be if it was a movie.

ahh...I have one more question. I bought a squad of SM Terminators...and I want to use 4 in an HQ escort thing and one as a master/captain. Do I have to do anything special to the figure to make him stand out?

Give him some of the crazier looking stuff in the set, you could use the head without a helmet, maybe some more gold trim when you paint him, you could green stuff him a cloak, or maybe give him a banner.

ugh now i have a huge dillema. Make the 20 CC Terminators hammer and shield for +4 save or make then double lightning claws for 2 attacks

Can't you mix them together in each squad? Say, 2 TH/SS's to soak-up plasma and melta hits and 3 LC guys for 12 faster-striking power weapon hits on the charge.

With the new rules for storm shields (3+ saves against combat and shooting) I would think the thunder hammer/storm shield option would be better!

yes...but deep striking 20 attack terminators...all with extra close combat attacks...thats like an army instantly disappearing.
