Idea for 1750 GK Deep Strike List Empty Idea for 1750 GK Deep Strike List

can only keep up to 50% of army in reserve to deep strike in 6th. which is really annoying for those of us who like to stick to the fluff and have our units coming down right in the thick of it in true GK style.
This is an idea of mine to give me a flexible but powerful 1750 force:

The servo skulls will be deployed in any cover that will allow the enemy to deploy scouts on my flanks (happened in last game wasn't pretty), and also in areas to allow my terminators to deep strike in without scatter. The Techmarines reinforce the cover the psykers will be using and then deploy in best place to use their conversion beamers. they probably WON'T be with the pyskers or inquisitors. The inquisitors will go with the psykers.
In 6th ed it seems terminators are king so i'm taking up to 5 units of them (2 combat squads and one 5 man squad) or 2 big units of them and one reserve unit. Anything which isnt' a powerfist in CC or better will be met with 2+ armour save. In CC most of the unit gets a 4+ inv save as well (nemesis force swords). So only thing my terminators have to worry about is weight of fire and the usual anti-terminator stuff. plasma guns etc...

I don't believe that you are allowed to have 5 Elite units.

i think you are forgetting that for each =][= in the army that you can take a warband without using up a slot brother Overlord... or atleast thats what i was told in GW

yup. each inquisitor can take a retinue which doesn't affect FOC.

If I was using this list I would be scared of a turn1 tabling, it's nice having 25 Terminators deep strike into someones face, but it's going to really struggle turn1 and if communion fails or the Inquisitor is dead then the army may arrive piece meal.

But having said that, 25 terminators in your face landing next to skulls is going to be hard to shift and they're all scoring, so I say give it ago and report back if you're looking for list changes Smile

One thing I would suggest is trying to find the points for the second Inquisitor to have terminator armour and a psycannon.

Nope, for each inquisitor in your army you get to take 3-12 Henchmen that don't use any Elites slot. Taking 3 Jokaeros in your three available Elites Slots is not allowed.
