Grey Knight - 1000 pts vs Necrons

Hello brothers,

I'm gonna be making a list to fight Necrons. I had posted a 2000+ point list here a year ago but finances and life got tight and was never able to finish it. I'm attempting to enter the game with tighter list so i can play quicker vs my brother. Here is the list i've created. My only fear is that it doesn't have enough bodies on the field. Any pointers you may lend me would be great. I dont really want to go the inquisitor route.


HQ - Grand Master - Master Crafted Halberd

Elite - Purifier Squad - 8 man - 7 Halberds
- Knight of Flame with Master crafted Daemonhammer

Troops

Termie Squad - 5 man - 1 psycannon - 4 Halberd
- Justicar with Mastercrafted Daemonhammer

Termie Squad - 5 man - 1 psycannon - 4 Halberd
- Justicar with Mastercrafted Daemonhammer

Heavy Support - Dreadnought - 2x Twin Linked Autocannons with psybolt ammo

Total - 996 Points

What is your brother's necron list ?

Do you really need purifiers against necrons? You're not likely to make close combat at normal foot speed in power armour and even if you do the terminators can hold their own.

If you make the purifiers a strike squad you save a handful of points, but more importantly you can combine the terminator squads into a single unit. You can always combat squad them for flexibility, but it means that your leader's grand strategy will always work on all your terminators and actually stands a 1 in 3 chance of affecting the entire battlegroup.

Then you can have the terminators up front and the strike squadproviding cover fire from relative safety, or use them as cannon fodder/an assault blocker depending on your needs.

My Brother wont tell me his list, but I do know hes running an Annihilation Barge and Ghost Arc. He also just bought Lychguards so he'll probably be running those as well.
