Deepstriking?
My problem with deepstriking is threefold:
1. You have less of your army on the table at the start for target saturation and to simply dish out pain at range from the first turn.
2. The reserve roll is unreliable.
3. You scatter up to 12" when you do come in.
This 2000pt list is designed to mitigate all three:
Cortaez
12 henchmen - 6 stormbolter acolytes / 3 plasma servitors / 2 jokaero / 1 mystic
Inquisitor - psyker / 3 servo skulls
12 henchmen - 6 stormbolter acolytes / 3 plasma servitors / 2 jokaero / 1 mystic
10 strike squad - 2 psycannon / 1 hammer
razorback - psybolt ammo
10 strike squad - 2 psycannon / 1 hammer

Aegis defence line - comms relay
The two inquisitorial units will man the defence line
The strike squads will combat squad:
- hammer / 4 stormbolters / razorback (start on table)
- 2 psycannon / 3 stormbolters (reserve)
1. You have less of your army on the table at the start for target saturation and to simply dish out pain at range from the first turn.
I will have 8 units on the board at the start with a minimum range of 36" and all twin-linked
2. The reserve roll is unreliable.
The comms relay will aid early deployment
3. You scatter up to 12" when you do come in.
If I need to support my existing troops I get a scatter free deployment behind the defence line thanks to the mystic's. Otherwise i'm taking my chances with the servo skulls - nothings perfect I guess!
Besides I have about 100pts spare to tweak - conversion beamer on the Inquisitor? Psybolt ammo all round? Random Palladin or two?
If anyone has some suggestions on succesfull deepstriking i'd be interested to hear them, especially the use of servo skulls. Would deploying some on the opponents table edge be a good tactic, maybe behind some move or fire troops? It would force him to cover the threat and maybe be out of position - I just like the idea of putting them where he doesn't want to go (backwards) rather than where you do want to go. It will either waste a turn of his or give you a backdoor, just a thought.
Comments welcome

Re: Deepstriking?
I read about an interesting draigowing/henchmen list about a year ago so it was in 5th where cotaez and a henchmen squad with death cults crusaders and a mystic in a land raider crusader advanced forward and then deep struck in the paladins, using the LRC as a transport, bunker, and range extender for the mystic. I think you could do something similar if you ran an assaulty henchman squad to apply pressure midfield. Also, have you considered using chimeras for you henchmen? You could still have both jokaeros and your plasma servitors shooting out and it would give you 2 more 36" range weapons, not to mention give you some cover from the dreaded bale flamer.

Re: Deepstriking?
Something I really like about your list is that you will have very good synergy between coteaz's first turn control and the strike squad's warp quake to keep deathwing and daemons from deepstriking in your face.

Re: Deepstriking?
There's one major flaw in your battle-plan: you're not able to combat squad and withhold half the squad in reserve. Or does the new wording of the Errata amendment allow for that? I haven't seen any information on the subject. Is "deployment" considered a separate phase of the game or does it occur for each unit individually?

I don't think it has changed in 6th ed but I could be wrong.

Re: Deepstriking?
Well thats usefull to know! I completely overlooked that assuming I could reserve as I wished as long as i had 50% on the board to begin with.
Back to the drawing board, thanks for the input
@ Slayer - I definately like the idea of landraiders / mystics / palldins and have been playing around with that recently. If the assault contingent is henchmen in an assault vehicle then the DS component could be strike squads with psybolt as they would primarily be shooty

Re: Deepstriking?
You certainly have enough skulls to make it work - I guess I just prefer mystics though. No scatter as opposed to 6" scatter
