Audiobooks

I think i will open a new topic for the BL audiobooks.

I heared both new audiobooks from the BL
The first had been Thunder from Fenris: It´s about the Thunderwolf Cavalry. It had been very entertaining and a must-listen-to for all SW and even the non-SW.

The second had been Raven´s Flight: It´s a HH audiobook about the Raven Guard and the Dropside Massaker on Istvaan V. Gav Thorpe had done a really good job with it. It gave a really good view on the battle and the Primarch Corax.

I hope for more....

The manager of the GW store I go to is really fond of them because, and I quote: "You can read a book while painting your models or while playing games or doing other silly things! How cool is that?"

Good point, I normally just watch dvds (well listen) but that might be cool.

@Zealadin: I do that too. I play one of my favorite dvd's (usually one I've watched a thousand times over) while I build/paint my models.

Yep exactly, you don't really need to see whats happening since you know, but it keeps you company And you can always glance up for a break.

Fireborn is out. It´s about the Salamanders. Once again worth listen to it.

Two more good audiobooks are out.

The Dark King was cool. Night Haunter and Rogal Dorn short before the outbreak of the HH. Very impressive.

Throne of Lies: The NL hunting down the Calidus temple. Absolutly worth listening to.

Some new Audiobooks:

Helion Rain: It´s about the Raven Guard against the Tyranids. Very cool.

Garro - Legion of One: The sequel to Garro - Oath of Moment. Very good.

I got some new audio books.

Madness within: It´s about Crimson Fists and their fight against....... no, listen to it by yourself. It was good listening stuff.

Red and Black: An audio book about the Sisters of Battle and their mercyless war against the heretic. Worth listening. A world two millenia isolated from the Imperium returns to the light of the Emperor. But had the population kept their faith or are they tainted? A squad of Celestians is send out to investigate.....

As well there is an audio book on the founding of the Grey Knights, i just can't remember what it's called at the moment. I will endeavour to find out.

Both Garro Audiobooks.

Both very good.
And they leave an openning for a third.
Hopefully it leaves us with no doubt as to the founding of the Grey Knights, but knowing GW/BL they probably will.

It's also good that the Sisters get some attention (and attention that isn't killing them!).

New Audiofood for our ears.

I´ve got the new Adiobook about Eisenhorn and Ravenor: Thorn and Talon.
It´s a double CD this time with two short stories about Interrogator Eisenhorn and on CD 2 a story about Ravenor and Eisenhorn.
It was very interresting and worth it´s money.

I play some music from "Two Steps from Hell" when I paint sometimes too!

Here´s my review of the last audiobooks from BL

Malediction:
Dark Angels, IG and ......! No, i wouldn´t tell you. Not bad but not one of the best audiobooks. More something for DA fans.

Labyrith of Sorrow:
Another Raven Guard audiobook. It reflects very well the modus operandi of the RG. I love it.

Perfection:
What a waste of time. I was totally disappointed. From the description at the GW and BL homepage i was expecting something complete different.

Choosen of Khorne:
It was awesome. Kharn the Betrayer. It was interresting to dive into his mind and his point of view.

Butchers Nails:
Also one of the better audiobooks. It displays Angron in a way that i had never thought off. Fantastic!

Garro - Sword of Truth:
Is´t much longer then the others. It´s comes on two CDs. It plays between Garro - Oath of Moment and Garro - Legion of One. Absolutly worth listening to.

I've been listening to Sword of Truth and Burden of Duty (both are Garro' audiobooks) and I must say that they are pretty good! Although it's still unclear the connection between Garro and the GK, the knights-errant stories are a great inspiration when modelling and painting.
I've queued Thunder of Fenris, and reading your critics, I'll give it a chance

Yes, you have your own "download queue", so any ebook and mp3 you've already bought, you can download it again
