1000pt All Terminator List Empty 1000pt All Terminator List

Hey guys. Im trying to make a list to take down to my local GW and try out some stuff. I am building towards a larger all terminator list. So the list using the models I have atm is

HQ
Grand Master wt Force Halberd - 180pt

Troops
2 x Terminator Squad - 400pt
Terminator Squad wi Psycannon - 225pt

Heavy Support
Nemesis Dreadknight wt Heavy Psycannon and Nemesis Greatsword - 195pt

Total - 1000pt

I will most likely be coming up against marines with minimal vehicles hence the reason I haven't taken a whole lot of anti vehicle though at 1000pt its kind of hard to. Anythoughts please let me know. I know alot of people will most likely say swap out the dreadknight for a dread but I don't have one atm (though I will very soon) and I am wanting to try out the dreadknight as well

The grandmaster may be better keeping his sword to keep his 3++ as he is iniative 5.

Considering your list is all on foot/deepstrike I would try to get as many pyscannons as possible.

heavy incinerator is better imho than the heavy psycannon for the DK... and with the spared points, try to put at least rad grenades and maybe psychotrope grenades for you GM ... scratch

The Heavy inc is a better weapon then the Heavy psy cannon, but without the jump pack the psy may be the way to go. Make the 2 terminator squads join into one squad, combat squad them if needed.
Drop the sword and give the 10 man psy bolts. A grand master is still hard to find the points for at this level, a lib with 2 spells might give better value, then if you can, get an other psy cannon.

yea the lib sounds like a better idea. Out of the psychic powers which ones would you guys run? I see smite, warp rift and might of titan being the best looking of them

Smite is generally subpar tbh, it looks great with AP2, but at only str 4 it'll struggle to hurt the likes of termies etc enough to make it worth it. Generally people rank Sanctuary, shrouding and might of titan as the top 3.

and warp rift which is a short range psypower but very effective, especially against vehicles ( => Auto "wound")

I'd still stick with the halberd on the grandmaster. I'd rather ensure I attack first against high initiative enemies, independent characters and furious charging folk and kill the threat first and just avoid enemy squads with powerfists.

The librarian is a good option but The Hammer of Righteousness on 10-15 terminators is also going to be useful. Especially as no psychic defense is going to stop it.

If you do manage to shoehorn another psycannon in the squad, consider giving both to the 10 man squad. That way, if you combat squad them you can put both in a unit for dedicated anti-tank/anti-heavy infantry or split them up as you see fit at the beginning of the battle.

Maybe a cheaper HQ might be an option. OM in TDA with a psycannon could free up the points for the teleporter for the dreadknight, making him a lot more flexible and giving one of your terminator squads more fire power and stubborn.

That is an option but he will not realy help the army an any way other then another paycannon and stubbon. Grey knight terminators realy do not need stubbon as if you are loseing combat by any great numbers then there will not be many of you left anyway, also the damage output of them in hand to hand will not see them loseing to often. The points savenig will not get you a teleporter for the dreadkinight.
Hammer of Righsousness could be handy, but I think that more value is given from psybolts. At 1000 pts the main armour will be 10 to 11 with at most 12 on a dread or 13 on a pread. (I do not think that anybody will be bringing a landraider) The psybolts are also better value verses inf.
If you go the path of the lib then scrouding and scantuary would be my picks, might and warp rift would be third and fourth picks. They are more about keeping your army alive but they do force you to play a game where you keep your army together.

Not trying to be argumentative, but OMI with psycannon and terminator armor versus a grandmaster would save him about 90 points and versus a naked librarian it would save him 70 points. No one ever takes a librarian without taking two or three powers I can safely assume that taking the cheaper hq would free up enough points for the teleporter. I love librarians but the dread knight a huge bullet magnet and is tough to hide, so I feel he needs the maximum amount of mobility available.

slayer18 You are right on the points, and I do think that the dreadkinght needs the teleporter to be more effective. At this point level the dreadkinght can run without it as there will be less to shoot at it and the points can be used elsewhere. My mistake, should have been clearer.

i still havnt tryed this list out (to busy with exams) and im still trying to decide whether to try clear out the points for the teleporter. By the sounds of it if I take the tele on the DK i will scrap the Psycannon for the incinerator. Apart from that the list will stay the same. I might try both variations (higher point hq with Psycannon and no tele DK and low points hq and incin and tele DK) and see how both lists fare

I\'ve been looking over alot of other lists and I have come into possession of some purifiers and I was wondering would it be better to swap out a termi squad for a purifier squad and then with the remaining points either give them a rhino , give the DK a teleporter( if I did that I would swap out the Psycannon for heavy inc) or take a decked out grand master in steed of a librarian?

So, what about trying this, if you want to keep your all terminator list free of anything without a terminator armour:

OMI with Terminator Armour and a Psycannon 80
3x Terminator Squad with Psycannon 225 each
Nemesis Dreadknight with Heavy Incinerator and Teleporter 235
Total 990

Personally I'd equip each termie-squad with 3 Halberds, 1 Hammer and 1 Sword, so you get one for allocating wounds, one for destroying vehicles and three that strike first in the most cases.
And you get the teleporter on your Knight and a maximum of Psycannons...
