2000 GK vs DE.

Any ideas on how to improve my list? I have 90 pts left (im the GK). Smile

Join the terminator squad into one squad (you will lose one master crafted),
Add psy bolts across the army
Drop both redeemers (dark lances will chew them up anyway)
Add one stormraven and 2 psy rifle dreads,
Some might say to shift the d.hammer from the justicars, This is because of the chance of loseing him to perils, but I like the 2 attacks. If you have the points master craft it them.
Give the termiators at least one psy cannon.
You can also look at the halberd on the lib, this can be changed to a warding stalf, this guy is not that good in hand to hand with only 2 attacks base and a 5++ save, the stalf lets him survive longer.
Drop one strike squad for a second stormraven.
If the points are there some interceptors would be nice.
So the list would be something like this (have not worked out the points exactly)

I actually don't think the Librarian needs a nemesis warding stave because of the new rules for "Look out sir!" since he's an IC he gets a 2+ for that roll. Also power weapons took a nerf and since he's in terminator armor not much will be able to kill him in CC. That will save you 25 pts to put elsewhere.

I do agree with putting psybolt ammunition on all squads since most of his vehicles have armor 11, you'll be able to glance on 6's with storm bolters.

Also I have a question on perils. Although you cannot roll for invul saves for perils, can you do "Look out sir!" special rule?

the warding staff is still really good for the libby. especially in challenges.

Not sure if "Look Out Sir" will work with perils--personally, I don't think so because it doesn't make sense...how can you have somebody else step in and have their mind brutalized by daemons scratch

As for the list, I do agree that psybolts on all 10-man squads will pay dividends since you will be shooting at paper airplanes Razz

I do agree that the fluff doesn't make sense, however due to the wording... "if a character has a wound allocated to him, and there is another model from the same unit within 6", he's allowed a Look Out, Sir attempt."
Under perils ruling it says: "If the roll for the Psychic test is either a double 1 or a double 6 ... The Psyker immediately suffers 1 Wound with no saves of any kind allowed."

Look Out, Sir doesn't count as a save does it? Question To me its more like re-allocating wounds. And since most of our army are psykers or brotherhood of psykers, maybe they can sacrifice their mind?? jocolor
It's just an idea and maybe a fail attempt at trying to bend the rules. lol!

a psyker suffering perils just immediatly suffers 1 wound. no way to abuse that.
