2000 point elitist
hi i have managed to scratch up an army list for 2000 points for local games and tournaments etc.
i have draigo and crowe to make purifiers scoring.
with no further adieu,
HQ: 425
Kaldor Draigo : 275
Castellan crowe: 150
Elites: 195
Venerable Dreadnought: 195
-two twin linked autocannon
-psybolt
Troops: 871
10 purifiers: 381
-2 psycannon
-Incinerator
-psilencer
-3 halberds
-warding stave,
-daemon hammer
-falchions
-psybolt
-razorback(psybolt, stormbolter)
5 terminators: 265
-2 halberds
-psycannon
-warding stave
-psybolt
5 terminators: 225
-2 halberds
-incinerator
-daemon hammer
-psybolt
Fast Attack: 250
Stormraven: 250
-Hurricane bolters
-psybolt
Heavy: 260
Dreadknight: 260
-incinerator
-greatsword
-teleporter
sigh comes out to 2001 i think...
okay so to tactics... combat squad pruifiers into shooty group which stay out of the razorback and provide cover, whilst combat group with incinerator and crowe scream upfield to the action. the termis with incinerator go with with draigo in the stromraven to the action, with the other group deep striking or just waltzing upfield shooting away etc. dreadknight teleports up field and creams into big units with incinerator and greatsword etc. and finally ofcourse the dreadnought just shoots away at any tanks.
CandC very much wwelcome my last list got stomped....

The first thing that hits me about this list is you're using 2 named characters for a total over 20% of your points but not making the most of them. Unless you have at least 2 pally units then Draigo is a points sink. Much better to drop him and take a regular GM with some nades to buff the termies and for Grand strategy. same with Crowe, since you aren't using multiple units of purifiers might as well not use him, take purifiers as elites and use Grand Strategy.
Purifiers are OK, but remember Crowe can't join them(not IC), I'd also suggest converting the psilencer into another psycannon (psilencers are worse than psycannons at least 95% of the time) and it's not too hard. Also don't take psybolts on them as you have 4 heavy weapons which don't benefit from it.
Termies are ok, again drop psybolts since you lack the bodies to make them cost effective and add in at least 1 hammer per 5man squad.
Lose the hurricane bolters and the psybolts on the Storm Raven. The str 5 means you can;t fire them as defensive weapons. Keep it barebones with a multi-melta and assault cannons since it's going to be close to enemy lines dropping off termies anyway.
What I'd suggest as a similar list would be something like:
GM w/ rad and blind grenades
Termies x 5 w/ hammer, psycannon, 3 x halberd and stave for justicar
Termies x 5 w/ hammer, psycannon, 3 x halberd and stave for justicar
Strike squad x 10 w/ 2 x psycannons, psybolts hammer on justicar
Purifiers x 10 w/ 3x psycannons, 1x incinerator, 1x hammer, 1x falchions, 1x stave 3x halberds razorback w/ SB and psybolters
Stormraven w multimelta and asscans
Dreadknight w/ teleporter, greatsword and heavy incinerator
Venerable psyfleman
You still have 30pts to spare, Maybe give the GM psychotroke 'nades and digital weapons and MC his equipment?
With my list you'd have 3/4 scoring units depending on combat squads with the potential for another 3 with GS if you need them. Alternatively you could give scout to the dreadknight and the purifiers, allowing the razorback squad and the NDK to get into better charging positions and the shooty squad to move into better firing position.

Re: 2000 point elitist
Wow that is exactly what I needed. Thanks for taking the time brother. Rite I need to get my hand on more grey knights to make a strike squad. When the stormraven is finnished I shall look to buy some OOP ones.
