ARMY TOTAL 2000!

Ok so basically I had a great game, not to say it was easy it was very difficult. It was against the odd combination due to it being a friendly game against BA and Nids. I chose to deepstrike the paladins without Draigo which was good and bad. The servo skulls saved me from early tarpits which was really good. Sterngaurd Vets gave me some issues but the biggest problem was 2 Stormravens and the Tyrannofex. One dread died turn one while the other lived forever! I liked the list but it seems to be lacking something... So any advice from my more experienced brothers would be greatly appreciated. OH!! the Librarian refused to die as well! I ultimately did win due to the one dread that lived and my two HQ choices! =) On that note how is quicksilver? Because i feel like on Purifiers it would be fantastic w/maybe a falchion combo? Thoughts and ideas!

Next time Brother, dont post the point cost of things, as this will lead to us getting in trouble. Since that is settled a couple tips. You might want to invest in transports for your paladins (once people hear paladins, they spam melta and that equals instant death). Also put libby with paladins, use quicksilver as you will kill a unit before they can even attack back. Forget mastery lvl 3, as it just isnt worth the points. Perhaps even getting rid of GKIS, and add a Dreadknight w/ teleporter (with Grand Strategy it can score just like troops with the 30" shunt, which could be crucial last turn.)Its all up to you.

Most important of all, tinker with it as much as you can. See what works for you and how you like to play. Always try to improve your list or at least your gameplay. And ALWAYS play with people who are better than you.

Even with the GKIS, cause they re not a troop choice.

well ... No, with draigo the pallies are troops considering as scoring, so he has 2 troops
let's say that 1/4 of your points in one unit, is a gambit, brother !
you'll roll over your opponent or will be shamefully crushed depending on your opponent and the way he (or she ) plays his (her) list.

Yes ofc. BUT he has only one squad of paladins.

So he has only one troop choice or he splits his pallys in 2 squads which i dont read that way couse then the ammo, apo, banner is wasted on one 5 man squad...

As i read this list again and look at the points for equipment , i think he got the GKIS squad wrong. Points are wrong and he calc 100 points for the squad which is an SS not IS...

you're right brother : i read GKSS but he wrote GKIS ... so effectively this list misses a troop

Ahh thank you brothers i did in fact typo lol if you add the points for the equipment and the amount of troops it is deffinetly a GKSS. I shall correct =)

I would like to invest in transports =) also i have a few other list ideas in my head.... hmm i will start a new thread for these but other than transports any other suggestions?

for a brief period i ran a Draigo list that was something like this (exact equipment may vary, as this is off the top of my head)
Draigo
Lib - Level 2, Santuary, Shrouding, Summoning and quicksilver

2 5 man Paladin, 2 Psycannon each, mix of Halbreds, swords, hammer for wound allocation psybolt ammo

vindicare assassin - for tank hunting

Dreadknight Heavy Psycannon, doomfists Heavy Incinerator

1 purgation squad in rhino.

I did later change our the purgation squad for other things, but this played well against necrons.
