Purifier Coteaz idea

Currently searching for an army idea that I can stick with.

Here's another of my ideas. C&C please

a little info on those selections would be nice.. just seeing the point cost and not really what vehicles & upgrades are to it wont help us to help you
same goes with the henchmen. what are they? what gear?

Ok the Purifiers will be going in the stormravens.

The henchmen are basic acolytes to keep points down (the main thing there is the chimaera firing a lot of anti-infantry weapons and the anti-transport HKs)

idea is to deploy the stormravens at back of the board behind cover with the chimaeras and dreadnoughts, then move them as far as possible in next turns to get purifiers able to take out enemy infantry

Thats 19 kill-points your offering up and your biggest units are 5-man strong in power armour.

The high mech content / amount of fire will cause trouble for most but you have a soft underbelly once your vehicles are breached. Seeing 10 GK vehicles deploy would scare most people at 1750 but they are really all you've got.

the one thing that most armies can't deal with is high amount of mech. you start deepstriking lots of power armoured GK in and yes it's very fluffy, but they're basically sitting there saying "hello shoot me".
And the vehicles have to be breached first.
My last game against a lascannon heavy list left me with over half my chimaeras left still working. Against something like Guard or DE i'd take my chances

just a remark.
Comes the moment in a battle where things just get close and personal ... and imho your list relies too much in shooting. as i see it this list will be blown to oblivion as soon as the things will get dirty (aka asa you'll get in cc)
to be true, as you probably know it, i'm not a big fan of mixed lists, and the last time i used pure purifiers list (against eldars) i was wipe out turn 4 !!

have to agree with our brothers. as mentioned those chimeras wont last forever. especially that those chimeras lack fortitude means that you suffer greatly at any glance that comes at you.
if those vehicles explode you can also almost kiss your acolytes goodbye as only 1 will most likely be alive if the odds are at your favor. if the dice are against you, you give them 2 killpoints with a side armor of 10.

whats good on this list is that you got whooping 3 SR. they will at least bring some purifiers into combat & also kill a bit. the weaknes for this list is a bunkered up enemy however. if you have to play a shootout with the enemy hiding his heavy units behind some speedbumbs you run into serious trouble.

mulling over things I do definately prefer shooting to close combat. but i've tweaked list a bit to take advantage of some things:

Now you have 2 stormravens with purifier squads that hit harder (7 guys instead of 5) and can incinerate before assaulting and then cast cleansing flame (burn baby burn!)
3 Dreadnoughts with psyammo provide a good hard firebase of 12 Str 8 shots per turn, with the 5 Chimaeras on anti-infantry duty firing multi-lasers and heavy bolters.
And finally we have 5 Str 6 Ap3 large blasts. So anything at AV10 is not going to have a good day, and anything not in terminator armour or with an inv save is going to have a bad day too.

Armies this force will love:
Orks, Daemons, Necrons (TBC), Imperial Guard depending on makeup, CSM

Armies this force is not looking forward to:
Tau (!), Dark Eldar, Imperial Guard, Space Marine Mech (though could hold its own)

Armies this force would hate:
Tyranids (Shadow in the Warp), Eldar (Bloody Runes of Warding), Necrons with lots of AV13

i do prefer this list brother ... so try it and report !
