][ 1000 Pts Armies

Borthers,

Could you give me some thoughts on these lists for 1000 points - I expect it will often be part of a doubles game, but may need to stand up on its own. The partner could be anything so we cannot use that as a reference.

1st list.
Coteaz
OXI with Rad and Psychotoke
Henchman Squad - 6 DCA, 2 Crusaders, 1 Mystic
LRC

Henchman Squad - 6 DCA, 2 Crusaders
Stormraven w/ TL MM and TL LC

Dreadnought w/ 2x TLAC and Psybolt ammo

Thoughts with this list are that LRC and Dread take to the field and the SR can DS in, or the Dread can go in the SR - but i would maybe change its weapons to flamers.

2nd List
Coteaz
OXI w/ Rad and Psychotoke and Combi-Melta

Henchman Squad - 1 Crusader, 3 DCA, 1 Mystic w/ RB TTLC
Henchman Squad - 1 Crusader, 3 DCA, 1 Mystic w/ RB TTLC
Henchman Squad - 1 Crusader, 3 DCA w/RB TTAssultC with psybolt ammo
5man GK SS w/ DH and Psycannon

Dreadnought w/ 2x TLAC and Psybolt ammo
Dreadnought w/ 2x TLAC and Psybolt ammo

Usage: 3x Razorbacks move forward and the GK SS DS in where they are needed as additional support.

Any thoughts would be greatly received.

A landraider and a stormraven in 1000 points is half your army.

The second list is more viable but is going to bleed kill points or rely on 5 man squads with low armour saves to hold objectives. It really depends on the opposition to how effective they'll be.

Maybe consider a couple of squads of acolytes with bolters. 100 points gets you twenty of them and you can mix in some servitors or other henchmen if you want to give them closecombat/heavy weapon options.

Just to put things in perspective, I know a kid in the school league who has 70 orks in a 600 point army including lootas and tankhuntas. Fighting alongside that lot, your army would be the hard core of decent troops with support fire. It would work well. Fighting against it on your tod, I don't see it going so well.
