Hi Brothers and Sisters,

I've been looking at a DCA list, might not be effective but surely a bit worrying to face:

HQ: 270

Coteaz - 100

Librarian - 170
- The Shrouding, Might of Titan, Warp Rift, Quicksilver, Hammerhand (free)

Elite: 390

Venerable Dread - 195
-2 TLAC, Psy Ammo

Venerable Dread - 195

Troops: 570

Warband 1 - 135 ( Coteaz here )
- 9x Death Cult Assassin

Warband 2 - 185 ( Librarian here )
- 9x Death Cult Assassin, Razorback, Psybolt ammo

Warband 3 - 125
- 5x Death Cult Assassin, Razorback, Psybolt ammo

Warband 4 - 125
- 5x Death Cult Assassin, Razorback, Psybolt ammo

Heavy: 520

Land Raider Redeemer - 260
- Psybolt ammunition, Multi-Melta

Land Raider Redeemer - 260
- Psybolt ammunition, Multi-Melta

Total = 1750

So Coteaz rides in a LRC with a unit of DCA and the Libby rides in the other LRC with the other unit of DCA.
I put DCA in Razorbacks to hold objective as most of the time most people use 3 Warrior Acolytes and lets be honest they aren't going to survive an assault but the DCA might. Also 1 Razorback will be empty.
The Ven dreads are to make them more durable.
I gave the Libby quicksilver just in-case I face another unit of DCA so should go first.

Game plan in a nut shell:
move+pop smoke+Shrouding to get up close on bot LRC whilst dreads and Razorbacks fire away.

Thoughts?

Downside is: my high AV is lacking, all I have is 2 Twin-Linked S7 Assault Cannons and 2 Multi-Meltas.

Hey shadow!

I love the idea of a Death Cult Assassin army!

Personally I think you could get away with swapping one Land Raider Redeemer for a rhino. Tactically the rhino can survive pretty damn well hidden behind the Land Raider Redeemer especially if you have shrouding.

I'd also look at Sanctuary to try and deny some enemy counter assaults - bargain at 5pts.

Also I would look at filling that empty transport with a 3man Death cult unit, the unit size stops a bunch of x death cult assassins running away on leadership 8.

Lastly Crusaders could be helpful addition.

Hey Stormknight,

Yeah I had Rhinos originally, I just thought that the 2 AV14 will be harder to deal with especially for other GK players. Sanctuary is a really good idea.

I'd probably keep the two larger squads of DCA, maybe add some crusaders if possible (1-2), as they can go in the LRR's, then look at some better troop options, like henchmen with melta and SB's.

Without assault vehicles you won't get into combat, and that part of the list is fine, but the rest of the list is more troublesome.

I'd even consider removing the Lib, getting a Inq with Rad Nades (replacement), and spending those points on more troops.

Thanks Zealadin, the idea of the Libby was for protection more than anything else AV14 with a 3+ cover save? Yes please.
I was trying not to use normal Warrior Acolytes as they just seem to die quickly and if there holding an objective they won't do much against some wolf scouts for example, whereas some DCA might hold a better chance.
