My Update for the New Book, 2k Pts
I played the 3rd ed book for a long time, and I always liked the idea of a reactionary counter army with strong, unforgiving units. Also the fluff for GK's was my jam. I've given them a break for a while with this latest book to see how things turn out, and I'm a little bit disappointed. Too many dudes with psyflemen dreads, I think.
Enter this list, it has pretty much everything I like about the new book in there, except for a terminator HQ, but I might change that.
Crowe
Vindicare Assassin
2x 10 man purifier squads, each with 2 psycannons, a daemonhammer, and 7 halberds.
1 9 man squad of terminators, a psycannon, 4 halberds, 2 swords, a warding stave, and 2 daemonhammers (1 MC)
Godhammer Land Raider, EA
2x NDK, Greatsword and teleporter
Thoughts? I feel this gives me plenty of room to adapt to almost any opponent.

Re: My Update for the New Book, 2k Pts
Its an interesting list although Crowe stands out since he can't join other units and will effectively have to hide most of the game.
I'd also recommend the extra GKT so you can get one more PsyC.
The vindicare is fun, but for the points you can probably do better from a synergy perspective, like some rhinos for the puries.
Like you said though, these units will be useful in almost any list, particularly if you magnetise the PAGK (puries) arms so they can also take swords, and their backpacks too. That way they can be GKSS/GKIS/GKP/Purgs

The Vindicare is too cool for me to not use, especially since I'm a bit low on long range AT besides the Godhammer. I can use Crowe as a counter assault fellow once forces collide, and hide him amongst my purifiers until then. I'm thinking about changing the loadout on one of the NDKs to scrounge points to get another terminator.

Re: My Update for the New Book, 2k Pts
I shuffled things around in my list a bit, to allow my terminator unit to actually get in my land raider should I need that to happen. Now it's:
Crowe
Vindicare
2x10 man Purifier squads with 6 halberds each, 3 psycannons, psybolts, and an MC Daemonhammer
5 terminators, 1 dh, 1 halberd, 1 sword, 1 stave, 1 incinerator, and Justicar Thawn
Land Raider, EA
2xNDK with incinerator, sword, and personal teleporter
I thought Thawn would be cool to have, I didn't really have anything to spend the extra 70 points on, but now I'm at 2009 and wondering how I should bring this back down to budget.

Is Thawn included within your 5 termies or is he a plus ?
cause if he's a plus that's 6 termies and you can't get in the LR. (cause by LR i suppose that you talk about the Godhammer !?)
If you meant "+ the upgrade Thawn" then you're ok with the LR

Yea, he's the upgrade. Any ideas as to where I can get rid of 9 points without hurting anything too badly? I don't really want to knock any of my purifiers back down to swords... but it's hard to find extra points.

Re: My Update for the New Book, 2k Pts
Brother TheLawinator,
I believe if you drop the great swords on the NDK's you can then free up 50 points.
Less the cost you over by... = 41
Put a Searchlight on the LR for a point = 40
You can then increase the number of Psycannons in the purifier squads to 4 each squad at a cost of 20. = 20
Then put 2 Daemonhammers on your NDK - remember if I read the rulebook right that DH on NDK's strike at the normal I on the Unit not at I1. OR you could upgrade the Incenator in the Terminators to a Psycannon for 20pts. = 0
I do not know if that is an option for you. I am not sure the effectiveness of DH on NDK's maybe some of the other Borthers on this forum can answer this.
It should be noted that EA on Grey Knight Vehicles is similar to the Psyker ability Fortitude the Pilots have.. so I am not sure the worth of taking that. - That would give you 15 points.
Less over amount = 15 - 9 = 6
Less 1 pt for a searchlight = 5 pts
Then you can give something to a unit somewhere - another normal DH to one of the purifiers?
I hope that helps Brother

Oh right, forgot that vehicles have that. Noice. Yea, I'm not sure what to do armament-wise on NDKs just yet. Hard to make a decision between the hammer and sword.

Sword is downright the killiest, but also expensive. Your a MC anyway so with HH and the sword you hit at s7, 2d6 armour pen with rerolls on everything.
