Hail Battle Brothers!
I send you word from my successful purging of the Renegade SM Chapter known as the Templar Errants in the Gartox System.
My force made a successful landing yesterday morning on the planet´s surface near the city of Bellamos. After a first investigation we found proof that the annihilation of the city and all it´s inhabitant had been the work of SM. We found our enemy near the Cathedral of Bellamos, where they made sacrifices for their new masters, the dark powers. Our enemy detected my ground forces very quick and decided to fight to the death. After a hard and brutal fight we destroyed those traitor forces. We found an artifact of dark origin in the posses of the commander of those renegades. The artifact has been destroyed and the remainings had be shoot into the sun of Gartox Prime.

Okay, my english is not good enough to write a good short story. So here´s my BatRep.

Yesterday i had a fight against 2000 points SM.
Enemy List (as far as i can remember)
Chapter Master and 9 men Command Squad with rhino
Caplain with Jumppack attached to assault sqaud (5 men)
1 dread AC/ML
1 Pred Annihilater with sponson mounted las cannons
scouts 3x sniper rifles, 1x ML, sergeant with bolter
scouts 3x sniper rifles, 1x HB, sergeant with bolter
Veteran Squad: serg, 4 SM, Plasma Cannon, melta gun, infiltration
Veteran Squad: serg, 4 SM, HB, melta gun, infiltration
Devastor Squad: serg, 4 SM, 2 ML, 2 HB
4 minimum Tac Squads 1x multi melta, 2x Laccannon, 1x PC

My List
Grand Master Aromir and Retinue:

GK Land Raider Crusader

Deployment: My opponent put one Scout squat (HB), one veteran squad, and one tac squad (MM) on my left flank. The dev squad, the pred, the dread, one tac squad (Lascannon) and his command squad in the center. Two tac squads, the second scout squad and the second veteran squad on my right flank.
I put Squad Caleb on my left flank. The LRC, Squad Jeremias and BD Rodgar in the center. BD Haldor was on my right flank. Squad Aromir and Squad Mikhail had be placed in reserve.

My opponent got the first turn:
He tested if can see any of my two squads but failed. But he destroyed my LRC with his Pred. BD Haldor got a crew shaken result

GK 1. Turn:
I moved both dreads and squad Jeremias forward. I annihilated his dev squad with Squad Jeremias and BD Rudgar completely and killed 3 SM from the Veteran squads on my left flank with Squad Caleb.

SM 2. Turn: Again most of his squads didn´t see anything. His scouts doesn´t wound any GK. He destroyed BD Rudgar with the Pred.

GK 2. Turn: Squad Mikhail teleported into position near a building on the right flank where my opponent had positioned 2 tac squads, his Chapter Master, the chappy and the assault squad and a scout squad. I moved both PA squads and the remaining dread forward. Squad Caleb shot at one of his tac squads and killed all but the guy with he multi melta. The terminators killed 3 assault marines. BD Haldor got into the Veteran squad on the right flank and ripped them appart with his DCCW.

SM 3. Turn: He shot with his command squad, one scout sqaud, and one tac squad onto my GKT and killed 3. then he assaulted them with the chappy. My GK lost another two termies but killed the chappy and the remaining two assault marines. I lost four men of squad Caleb and three men from Squad Jeremias through enemy fire.

KG 3.Turn: My Grand Master appeared between my opponents centerline and the left flank. I moved squad Mikhail, the remainings of the two PA squads and BD Haldor forward. Squad Aromir shot at the pred with the psibolter and got a crew stunned result on the damage chart. Squad Jeremias shoot at the dread and destroyed the AC. Squad Caleb shot at the veteran squad but the veterans managed to keep alive. Squad Mikhail and BD Haldor shot at the command squad and killed all but the CM and the veteran sergeant. Squad Mikhail and the BD Haldor attacked the command squad and killed them both, but i lost the last two GKT. Only BC Mikhail was still alive. Squad Jeremias attacked the dread in CC and archived an Immobilized result.

SM 4.Turn: He killed 2 Terminator from my GM´s retinue and all but Justicar Caleb from squad Caleb.

GK: 4.Turn: All of my forces, with the exception of squad Jeremias, moved forward. I shot with the dread at one of the scout sqauds and killed them completly with the AC and Incinerator. BC Mikhail shot at one of the tac squads and killed one SM. Squad Aromir fired the Psicannon at the pred but did nothing. Justicar Caleb fired again at the veterans and killed one of them. BC Mikhail smashed into the tac squad and killed another two in cc. Squad Aromir assaulted the side of the pred and archieved two glazing and one penetrating hit. The pred exploded and killed one terminator and the last remaining man from two tac squads.

SM 5.Turn: The last Veteran squad and the last scout squad killed Justicar Caleb. Squad Jeremias managed to destroy the dread in CC and BC Mikhail killed the last marines from the 2. tac squad on the right flank.

GK 5.Turn: All forces moved forward. BC Mikhail and the dread shot at the last tac squad and gunned them down to the last. Squad Jeremias was not in range to support the GM and did nothing. The Grand master and the last Terminator of his retinue shot at the last scout squad and killed 3. I finished the last two in CC.

After Turn five he gave up. All he got left was 2 veterans and the rhino from the command squad. I had left my GM and one terminator, BC Mikhail, Justicar Jeremias and 3 GK and BD Haldor. It was a great slaughter and a great fun for both of us.

I suppose Psybolters are Psycannons right?
Your army had a nice Firing support, but you should Maximise Psycannons con Terminators squads, leaving Storm bolters to PAGK.

Icons of the just on PAGK Brother Captains? either you have a lot of feeling with them or there is an other reason, because majority saves doesn't allow you to take the plasma wound from his 4+ inv.

Was anyone in the cruzader?
In a 2k point game having only 1 LR is giving away 250 pts because of their min/maxing las /plas squads

Either you get more bodies or an other Dread.

Still it was a great carnage, I wonder who could have opposed an Eversor or a callidus if they were played?

As I was reading the losses you were taking each turn I thought were you were in for a good wipe. I woulda been pooped after losing my LRC first turn but you hung in there and made a dang good showing of it. Congrats on the win.

@belissand: You´re right, i mean Psycannon. In the german ´dex they´re called Psibolter. In the Crusader was nothing, but my opponent didn´t know that. The LRC is only a big fire magnet and i deploy him always on a place where my opponent got a good LOS on him. If he survives the first round i´m happy but if not i don´t mind. I know, sounds crazy but the first round all other units are more or less save. And thanks to the high AV he could survive a lot of fire. This time it was bad luck but in the past this tactic had worked well.
The Icons of the Just are only for CC. I don´t expect that many GK will reach CC. Normaly only the Justicars and the BC get into CC. After turn 3 BC Mikhail survived only through the Icon of the Just.

@NemesisForce: That´s the SW in me. To gave up was never an option. That´s why i had won at the end. Always as i´m playing with my GK i have the story of the First War for Armageddon in my mind. The enemy must be destroyed doesn´t matter the cost, and that´s how i´m playing. I´ve won games with 80% of my Force still alive and others with only my GM left. It doesn´t matter. The winner writes the history.And personally i like games like this one cause both sides had given their best and we had have both fun. I find it very boring if i dominate the table while my opponent got nothing managed.

Fire magnet is a solid way to use a LR, but even then you should try to hide it, and alo make it more of a threat by making it a normal LR (twin LC are not to be ignored)

Great battle! I congratulate you hanging in there, it was a great massacre for both and only the bold and fortunate could have won!

I thought about to use a LR but my opponent had have only one pred and a dread but many infantry so i decided the Crusader would be the better choise.
