2000 Point Crowe/Pally List Empty 2000 Point Crowe/Pally List

Hello Brothers,
I am still working to find a good base army that I will enjoy to play. I will be purchasing models within the week so if there is anything I really need to change please feel free to say so. At this time, I am not looking to have a tournament worthy list, I just want a fun build that I will be able to play at my local hobby shop. I like the idea of mixing the Purifiers and Paladins just because they are such "Holy Badasses". lol

Here's what I got so far:
HQ-
Crowe
Librarian w/Sanctuary, Shrouding, MOT, Quicksilver, Warding Staff

Elites:
Vindicare Assassin

Squad of 10 Paladins (would allocated)
Paladin w/DH & Stormbolter
Paladin w/DH & Psycannon
Paladin w/Halberd & Psycannon
Paladin w/Halberd & Stormbolter
Paladin w/Banner & Stormbolter
Paladin w/Warding Stave & Stormbolter
Paladin w/Sword & Psycannon
Paladin w/Halberd & MC Psycannon
Paladin w/MC Halberd & Stormbolter
Paladin w/Sword & Stormbolter

Troops:
Squad of 10 Purifiers x2 Rhino for each squad
Psycannon x4 per squad

Hvy Support:
NDK
H incinerator, Greatsword, and teleporter

1845 Total

My plan is thus:
Add Libby to the Pally squad, have them march to where they need to get and kill everything in their way Smile

My Purifiers will be moving in their Rhinos to get close quick, they will unload once in range depending on the situation they can Combat Squad and hold the 4 Psycannons back with a basic purifier to blast away while the other 5 go into CC (possibly spend points here on upgrades for CC??).

My NDK can get up close and personal quick, drawing attention to him so Pallys can get into range.

Vindicare sits back, doing what he does best. Again drawing fire away from Pallys.

What I like about this is all the threats my enemy will have, very quick s/he will need to make a decision on who to focus on, what units s/he chooses to ignore will make her forever regret not focusing on them. Wink

At least that's the plan I have in my head haha.

I still have some points to play around with, would you suggest more models or beefing up my purifiers? Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you Brothers for your constant guidance, hopefully soon I will be able to take up arms with my new army!

Definitely need to give your purifiers 1-2 hammers per squad and the rest should have halberds so you'll end up w/ 4 pcannons, 1 or 2 hammers, 5 or 4 halberds.

Not a bad list. In KP missions, you'll just need to hide Crowe somewhere Razz

It might just be the way you phrased it but it sounds like you intend to split the squads when they get out the rhinos, which I'm pretty sure you can't do. The plan holds but the one half of the squad will be ground pounding from the start.
Which is fine because in many cases you might actually need to hold ground rather than go charging off like a bloodclaw.

Bear in mind that you are likely going to have to deepstrike your paladins sometimes when playing Dawn of War. Walking from the edge of the board on turn 2 (at best) will not be good for them. Find a way to get the points for a trio of servo-skulls maybe? They'll help avoid the enemy getting the jump on you as well.

If you have to combat the squads before they get into their rides, then perhaps Razorbacks would be an option..... More firepower, and extra targets for your oponant to choose between.

Then you can equip half of the Purifiers with the CC weapons they will need.

@ Brother Rivan, I agree with the CC upgrades for my purifiers. That was what I felt was lacking as well, Ill be sure to adjust accordingly. (thank you for consistently offering me aid)

@ Brother Sai, sorry for the mix-up I misunderstood a couple of things (I still have yet to actually play a match so there is still a lot to learn), but now that Brother Constantine mentioned the Razorbacks, I like that idea and am going to consider that.

Would you guys suggest combat squading and using the Razorbacks, or should I keep the Purifiers as 10 man squads and roll out in rhinos?
I'll play with the numbers and see what I come up with, i'll post an updated list when I'm done.

Thanks again Brothers.
