1850pt Termi-Purifier sync
Hey guys,
I love the idea of Purifiers, but these days all I see in Grey Knights is Termi's. I thought I'd try a sync between the two. Constructive criticism is welcomed and encouraged
Here it is:
Crowe
Librarian
w/ Nemesis Warding Stave, Teleport Homer, 3x Servo Skulls, Might of Titan, Sanctuary, Shrouding, Warp Rift
Techmarine
w/ Daemonhammer, Psychotroke Grenades
Terminator Squad: x5 guys
1x Justicar Anval Thawn
2x Halberds
1x Brotherhood Banner
1x Daemonhammer
Purifier Squad x5
1x Daemonhammer
4x Halberds
Rhino
Purifier Squad x5
1x Daemonhammer
4x Halberds
Rhino
Purifier Squad x5
1x Daemonhammer
4x Halberds
Rhino
Purifier Squad x5
1x Daemonhammer
4x Halberds
Rhino
Land Raider Redeemer w/ Psyflame Ammo
2x Psynoughts
2x TL Autocannons & Psybolt Ammo
So the idea is that the Libarian goes up in the Land Raider drawing fire as much as possible. He then does uses his teleport homer to guide in the terminators in 2nd or 3rd turn or if not, he goes into combat where he stands staunch with his 2++ save until he can guide the Termis in. The servo skulls are there for the worst case scenario that he is killed before the terminators become available.
Meanwhile, the Techmarine advances in a squad of Purifiers (can he? Hope so) which are headed straight for combat. The three squads of them should detract a little bit from the Land Raider, hopefully increasing its survivability. Their sole intend also is to be in combat.
And the Psynoughts provide long ranged support from pesky tanks or missile squads
Criticism? Changes?

First thing, you know that the Libby and Termis can all fit in the LRR?
So you don't need to DS and can save points on the homer.
Yes the Techmarine can join the Purifiers, although Crowe can't.
Interesting that you armed him with the hammer. I'd have gone for a halberd or sword as he's already go two servo arms (aka two powerfist attacks).

Re: 1850pt Termi-Purifier sync
Personally, I think I would shave a few points off by cutting the teleport homer and maybe the servo skulls and have the terminators (without the banner, in a squad of 5 it doesn't do enough) with the librarian in the LRC. I think I would also cut one of the purifier squads and boost up the rest of the purifier squads numbers and probably with a psycannon or two. Your strategy seems sound, but 5 purifers doesn't seem like enough to do some serious damage, unless you are spamming the hell (or would it be Warp?) out of the purifiers.

Re: 1850pt Termi-Purifier sync
Alright, so this got me thinking. Have adjusted the list according to all your comments. It seems very flimsey in my personal opinion but i'll let you guys decide anyway:
Here it is:
Crowe
Librarian w/ Warding Stave, Psybolt Ammo, Might of Titan, Sanctuary, The Shrouding, Warp Rift
Techmarine w/ Halberd & Psychotroke Grens
GKT Squad
Justicar Anval
3x Halberds
1x Psycannon and Daemonhammer
Purifier Squad
1x Daemonhammer
5x Halberds
2x Psycannons
Rhino
Purifier Squad
1x Daemonhammer
5x Halberds
2x Psycannons
Rhino
Land Raider Redeemer w/ Psyflame Ammo
2x Psydreads
2x TL Autocannons w/ Psybolt Ammo
Seems short on body count maybe? To few targets for the enemy?

Re: 1850pt Termi-Purifier sync
Are the Purifier squads 8 man squads?
I'd try to make them 10-man (or maybe a 9-man, so the Techmarine can join one squad in the rhino). The main advantage of getting 10-man squads (if possible) is that you can combat squad them for objective games or keep them a one squad for kill points.
I was fine with the four 5-man squads. The plan would be to keep them together and assault enemy squads with two or three of them after a good hammering of storm bolter fire.
To give you a ruff idea of numbers, here's what an online 1850 SM list basicly had: a Librarian, a 5-man squad of assult termies, a 10-man squad of terminaters, two 10-man squads of marines in rhinos, two squads of 2 attack bikes, a Land Raider Redeemer, and two Vindicaters.
You have: a Librarian, Crowe, a Techmarine, a 5-man Terminator squad (with Thawn), two 8-man squads of Purifiers in rhinos, a Land Raider Redeemer, and two dreadnoughts.
Remember that GK are more expensive than their SM counterparts, but they also have better equipment.
And while most people think GK are now an assault army, they are still a mid-ranged fire fight army with good CC counter attack.
You can gear them for an all-out assualt force, but you'd lose some of their innate adaptability, and end up with an even lower body count.
