The trials of stike force Castus! (Or Klomster wins! (WTF!))

Greetings brothers, i just felt like posting the result of the last 2 games i had, in 5th with my knights.

Game one, (You're not getting detailed reports, just highlights)

Vs Eldar! (Bloody Xeno scum, worse than demons almost)

I don't remember that much, i was very sad all the time though, Weiss died along with Borley. (Squad justicar and terminator brother-captain)

But in the end, i had collected 13 kill points, and my adversarie, 7. Ish...

2000 pts game.


Game Two.

Vs Necrons! (Annoying)

Had it yesterday, it was epic, 2000pts on each side, i set up nice terrain and starts setting up, of course my opponet immidiately begins by Seice the initiative.
The feeling i had there was, "Dang, i lost again"

He walks forward with his 50-60ish necron warriors and all kinds of yucky stuff, i infiltrate my eversor using terrain to my advantage.
He asks if the assassin is good, he asks ws st and I, i tell him like the good sportsman i am, he didn't ask the rest though (hehehe)

The shooting is surprisingly small and it's my turn before i know it.

Well, we can try our best.

Puritas, the iron crusader rushes forward and unleashes its deadly cargo, 6 grey knight terminators and my grand master, the pride of my army.

I shoot down a destroyer on the left flank with storm bolters and in the middle my storm trooper wall starts their advance.

I demonstrate the power of an incinerator on terminators and fire upon scarab swarms and them charge them, nothing is left, they later consolidate out in the open again so they can get a nice charge on the 16 warriors and a lord precisely in front of them.

Then the fun begins.

The eversor charges and does surprisngly little, and dies, well, at least he explodes, BOOM 2 necrons.

The entire necron army fires upon my grey knight terminators, unit by unit, after the green light goes silent and the dust settles, not a single terminator has fallen, and 2000 pts of necrons shot at them.

That was epic!

At this stage my opponet is crying and laughing at the same time, 50-60 warriors, a monolith, destroyers and all kinds of evil had shot at my terminators.

After that i am very confused, "well" i say and continues, my terminators stands up in optimum fighting line in front (1" from their models) and prepares for the epic to come.

Squad velio on my right spotts 3 wraiths, they open fire and kills only 1.

Then my terminators fire incinerator inside the necron mass and then charges, Castus (Grand master) charges the lord and i split charge 2 units. 16 vs 7.

The thing that follows is...... pölsa, a swedish dish consisting of squashed meat that is boiled, as far as i remember.

I kill 14 ish on the charge and Castus force weapon kills the lord.

The enemies is now pretty demoralized and face death in the shape of angry terminators.

2 units wiped on a charge.

No terminator died of course!

The enemy tried his best to kill them, most of his army fired again, but alot had been locked in combat, including a necron squad with Ulf, dreadnought!
The enemy shoots like gods and manage to kill one of the terminators.... sniff, poor Imga.

This requires holy retribution!

Wraiths have apparently prepared a charge and are about 12 away from my squad on the right.

Who have 2 psycannons....

DAKKKA DAKKA DAKKA.

Wraiths dies like flies, no invurnerable saves sucks for them

The terminators charge the 5 necrons that had dared shoot poor Imga,

Storm of minced meat follows, or minced metal if you prefer.

The only things that happen the rest of the game is that 2 grey knights die and some storm troopers.
He also accidentally knocks the soft gw bag thing with all my dead stormtroopers on the floor, i'm not happy, 3 backpacks break loose.

I avenged this by completely owning all, nothing really funny happens after this.

End results, necrons phase out round 3, possibly 4, don't really remember.

The losses on my side include, 1 eversor, and 2 eights of stormtroopers, Imga and 2 grey knights.

The entire necron army is dead, it had 5 troops with necron warriors, flayed ones, a monolith, wraiths, 2 tomb spiders, 2 scarab swam units of 6ish, a lord. destroyers.

And i had plenty of time and troops to take the 3 objectives.

Result, epic grey knight win, he would have got 3, possibly 4 kill points, i would have got..... at least 14 kill points.
And i took 2 objectives, would have moved stormtroopers to tha last in the 2-3 rounds that was left.

Epic indeed. Well done Klomster. I hope these two battles give you faith again for 5th edition. It's a rare day indeed when Grey Knights can clear a table.
