2000pts GK, I hope the list is ok
Hi all,
this is my new 2000pts list:
Grand master (rad grenades, blind grenades) 195
Librarian (Might of Titan, Shrouding) = 160
5 Terminators (1x hammer,3x halebard,Pyscannon) = 225
5 Terminators (1x hammer,3x halebard,Pyscannon) = 225
10 man Strike squad (x2 psycannon, rhino) = 260
10 man Strike squad (x2 psycannon, rhino) = 260
Stormraven = 205
MM, AC
Stormraven = 205
MM, AC
Nemesis Dreadknight (Gatling Psylencer, Nemesis Greatsword, Personal Teleporter) = 265
Total = 2000
Now the idea is to keep the Storm ravens together and protect them with shrouding, as I hope I am correct in thinking that flat out it will have a 3+ cover save with the benefit of shrouding.
Each HQ goes in 1 unit of Terminators and then in each Strom Raven.
I'm not sure about the Psycannons on the Termies, just thinking that they can still fire after killing what ever they got in contact with.
Then the DK and 2 units of GKSS just doing their thing I suppose
Any way let me know what you guys think

Hmmm. It's not a bad looking list. I would recommend TLLC's on the ravens for more anti-tank, especially since your strike squads don't have hammers.
About that dreadknight though: I don't think i like it for this army. In my personal experience and from battle reports that I've read, if you don't have 2 dreadknights then your points are better spent elsewhere. You really need redundancy on the dreads for them to be effective. Consider that if you dropped the dread, you would have enough points for another strike squad. Also, I don't think you've got enough powers on your libby since he can use 2 per turn. By dropping the dread and adding another strike squad, you could give your libby sanctuary as well (or warp rift, if you're so inclined).

I like the list as well.
BrentK brought up valid points regarding the NDK. However, I can also see the flexibility of having it. It'll definitely serve as a fire magnet that may draw some of the AT shots away from your SR's.

Re: 2000pts GK, I hope the list is ok
i have to agree on brother BrentK's. argument.
another option would be switch the NDK with a Landraider giving your strikers a good protection (both, if they ride inside it or if you block the line of sight with it.) so you could drop one rhino. also it offers another anti tank unit that can take a beating itself pretty good. since you got 2 stormravens allready, they wil have trouble focus firing.
you would have 50 points left, those i would spend on:
- a warding staff for the libby, since you want him in assault and as IC he can be targeted out pretty fast the warding staff will save him (and your squad) pretty big time, even against perils of the warp.
- sanctuary and warp rift for the libby. sanctuary for pissing off the enemy if he tries to charge you or any ally (even the SR) in 12". warp rift simply for auto penetrating enemy vehicles (even high armored ones like landraiders) at 5pts - bargain.
- mastercraft the weapon of the grandmaster.

Brother Souba, correct me if I'm wrong, but are you saying that by removing the NDK and adding a LR he would have 50 points left over? The most he could have left over would be 20 points if he opted for the redeemer.

yes i would say that brother BrentK. since i also said, he could give the strikers a ride and with that one less rhino = 40 points from the initial 10 points fewer for the land raider/NDK switch

Oops! I didn't take into account that you suggested removing one rhino. Yes that might be your best bet. Be sure to try and hide the other rhino behind the LR, as it'll be the only light tank on the field.

Re: 2000pts GK, I hope the list is ok
Going with the suggested swap to a LR type (w/c I definitely concur with), you can change 1 GKSS into a similar sized Purifiers w/ incinerators and halberds and 1 hammer. You have enough TR units anyway. Plus the GKSS won't be able to use their psycannons while in the LR. This gives you a another good assault unit or even just as a counter-charge unit. Just my two cents.

Re: 2000pts GK, I hope the list is ok
Thank you all for the input Brothers.
Taken your suggestions and it looks like this:
Grand master (rad grenades, blind grenades, master crafted) = 200
Librarian (Might of Titan, Shrouding, Sanctuary, Warp Rift, warding stave) = 205
8 Purifiers (1x Daemon Hammer, 1x incinerator, 6x Haleberd) = 209
5 Terminators (1x hammer,3x halebard,Pyscannon) = 225
5 Terminators (1x hammer,3x halebard,Pyscannon) = 225
10 man Strike squad (x2 psycannon, rhino, 1x Hammer) = 270
Stormraven = 205
MM, AC
Stormraven = 205
MM, AC
Land Raider = 255
Total = 1999
What do you guys think?

So you guys think this will work?
Just unsure as the numbers aren't very high.

Re: 2000pts GK, I hope the list is ok
30 infantry, 2 tanks & 2 skimmers. Its not bad for 2000pts because all your non-vehicles units can potentially be scoring anyway. Your vehicles can lay down decent amounts of firepower (except for the rhino of course).
It will all depend on the rest of the factors (mission, deployment, terrain, etc). But I personally think the list is competitive.
