Re: digging the archeovaults of GW
Didn't the squats use the hellbore? Very much like the Gears of war 2 but just not the one directional press for down button. The zerg are tricky like that, if I played zerg, it'd be only fair that zerg crawlers have the special ability to climb cliffs just like the Protoss Colossus'.

Re: digging the archeovaults of GW
I don't think there are many balance issues in Starcraft, although I could be totally wrong since only watch video commentaries on games and have never actually played it.
It would make a lot of sense for the Space Dwarves to be using a mining-type machine.

i'm no fan of the CSM....
Note for the future : my travel in the 40k past is Over ... even stuff of legend didn't have scanned the catalogues after 1994 (i possess them but physically not scanned )
so tomorrow begins my travel in the WFB past : my firt priority will be my main interest and army : the dwarfs, but after i ask you what will be the army and minis do you want to discover ?

Mortarian is now a daemon prince and was previously the chapter master of the 14th chapter, the Death guard. I'm just in the middle of "Flight of the Eisenstien". Good book cool character. He carries/ied a war scythe that of deaths and inhales toxic fumes and savors it like fine wine from his home world (Badab?); where the Emperor found him.

ok WHFB then...
and the dwarfs for priority i'll tell you each time wich one i possess and which one i don't) ...
i'm digging very deep today :
the FA (Fantasy Adventurer) between 1979 and 1982 (in the 1982 catalogue) you can find very fine models of adventurers for D&D including the FA15-1 FA 29-1 dwarfs, the FA15-2 and the FA29-2 dungeon dwarfs (i have the FA15-2 and FA 29-2 not the FA 15-1 or the FA 29-1)
http://solegends.com/citf/citfa/citfa81cat.jpg
http://solegends.com/citf/citfa/citfa82cat.jpg
note the finesse of the sculpture (watch chain mails and details)
the size : true 25mm so smaller than today

i pass the FTD series (Fantasy Tribes Dwarfs) that are very rare but not the same type of Warhammer dwarfs (if you want it i'll search them in another site)
now beginns the C series that are truly the core of the Warhammer style.
C06, C07, C08 and true C06 dwarfs.
http://solegends.com/citc/c06dwfadvc1.jpg
from the last pic i've got them all, from the first drawing i've got a big half of them, from the second and third drawing i've got few (nearly none) they are the former FTD and i don't really like their style.
