Grand Master Model
What do you guys use for a Grand master? I was thinking a brother captain but I don't think it comes with any options other than halberd and bolter, does it? Draigo is an option but I'm not sure.
Any input is appreciated.

Re: Grand Master Model
Draigo's body and plastic terminator option parts make for a good GM. That's what Rivan has done for his new model. Alternatively if you're comfortable with Green Stuff you could just add a cloak to a plastic terminator model to get the GM effect. The new plastics are great in terms of their variety of options and quality of detail.

Re: Grand Master Model
yeah as brother fallen said, the termie boxes bring nice little extras on the table. many also use brother captain sterns model for the grand master. with the new bits from termie boxes you can also make nice conversions on him. also add one of those banner/books the paladins got on the back and i guess you should be good to go

My old grand master is simple GKT with a converted cape and an added loincloth.
Simple, effective.

Re: Grand Master Model
Stern body is still an alternative, but you'll have to deal with the position of his right arm ... or cut it !!
But i have to admit that Draigo's body is now the best alternative !!
you can change his head, his arms and their position ... lots of possibilities

Re: Grand Master Model
Since it's just as hard to find a reason to field Stern now as it was with his older, cheaper self, I'll be using his model for a GM. As psycannon upgrades are too expensive for GM's and I like the +1 Inv. the sword gives, no changes are needed on the model for me.

I am just really happy that we even have options for conversions!

Re: Grand Master Model
On my first order for GreyKnights I was going for only Draigo and Brother Captain Stern. I was looking at using either one for Grand Master. My choice of GM is definitley Grand Master Mordraik.

My BC became a Librarian, but could have been a GM as well.
The arm positions are a little harder to set up, but its doable with the new weapons and hands.

Gonna sound like Heresy but what about using a cloak from the Chaos Terminator Lord plastic set on a Plastic Paladin?

Re: Grand Master Model
I have 2 GM that I had converted before the new models came out. The first is a combination of an old GK terminator and the terminator librarian and he has a psycannon. The second is my favorite it is a combination of the right arm of a terminator librarian, the psycannon and head of a GK terminator and the body and base of marneus calgar in terminator armour. You need to file some things off and green stuff some others. I do love the idea of converting a draigo model.
