KINGDOM CON 40K Tournament San Diego

Just found out today that there's a gaming convention this weekend right here in my city Very Happy So I decided to make it a test bed to use the new codex. I have no time to finish any new models so I'm stuck w/ using the same models I used in the past 2 tourneys I attended. This makes my list very limited but I have no choice since I can't use unpainted/unfinished models. I actually had to beef up w/ upgrades to make 2000pts since I don't have enough models to use Razz

HQ - GM w/ m-c stave, p-cannon, rad & psychostroke
HQ - Libby w/ SUM, SHR, MoT, QS, WR, SANC, DE
TR - 10 x GKSS w/ 2 p-cannons, 5 halberds, 2 swords, 1 m-c halberd, psybolts
TR - 5 x GKT w/ 1 p-cannon/halberd, 1 halberd, 2 swords, 1 m-c hammer
EL - 4 x Paladins w/ 1 m-c hammer, 1 m-c stave, 1 m-c sword, 1 m-c halberd
EL - 8 x Purifiers w/ 2 p-cannons, 5 halberds, 1 m-c hammer
HS - LR w/ searchlight
HS - LR w/ searchlight

Total: 1999 pts.

I also have a painted dread w/ TWLLC and ML that I can include but the trade off is even less bodies. Obviously, this is not an optimized list but I'm hoping to learn more about playing with our new codex rules in a tourney setting Very Happy

Have you checked wether or not you can use the new dex? Some tournies have a month grace period before they're allowed.

what grand strategy will you trie and go far could scout the GKSS and GKT

Giving the GKSS and GKT Scout would be a good option. I guess it depends on what the mission is and whether or not I need to combat squad the GKSS. Cool thing is the GKSS can also DS. That's suddenly 4 p-cannon & 16 HB shots w/in 24" Very Happy

That's why I love the combo of having skulls and psychic communion. We can now somewhat mitigate the randomness of reserve rolls and the skulls can provide a measure of safety to our deep striking units.
