Strasz' first attempt at 1750
A new day has dawned brothers and we must keep pushing forward to end the daemon threat once and for all.
The following list is my first draft with the new 'dex. The gaming community over here is quite diverse and I tried to make a list as balanced as possible regardless of the foe I would face. The theme of the army is pretty much strike first and strike hard. Any feedback or insight into possible changes would be appreciated.
*Crowe - 150
*Librarian - 165
-Might of Titan, Quicksilver, Warp Rift
*Purifiers x6 - 245
-Incinerator x2
-Halbred x3
-Deamon Hammer
-Master Crafted
-Razorback - Assualt Cannon w/ Psybolt

-Razorback - Assualt Cannon w/ Psybolt
*Terminators x5 - 220
-Stave
-Halbred x3
-Deamon Hammer
*Strike Squad x10 - 305
-Psycannon x2
-Halbred x7
-Deamon Hammer
-Rhino
*Land Raider Crusader - 265
-Multi-melta
*Dreadknight - 155
-Greatsword
The libby will be joining the Termies in the LR. One option I'm toying with is to swap the LR for the LasCannon variant as its only transporting 6 models and the list is relatively light in long range weaponry.
* Apologies for the list, I have updated this to not include all points values

I know the codex is new, but the concept about posting lists is NOT.
No posting individual costs. Just put the entire units cost including upgrades.
I think you'll find Crowe a waste of points personally, especially for only 12 purifiers. You could take 1 elite squad and combat squad them for a similar effect if you can work in another transport somehow.
Kind of light on bodies too, but I like the concept.

I'd drop the NDK, and add another LRC. Perhaps dropping the MM and adding Psybolt ammo is a better choice. I'd also consider the Stormraven, which will add much more firepower to your amry (take two if you can).
You have Crowe and purifiers are troops so no need to add a Strike Squad, leave them at home and add either another Termi squad or another purifier squad (maybe even some Paladins). Your Transports (LRC or SR) will deliver your heavy-hitters where you need them to, while your purifiers will ensure your objectives will stay on your side.
Oh and use Crowe as a hunter-killer unit. Your opponent will have to commit some units to chase him.
Hope this helps, nice idea BTW.

Thanks for the feedback, ill take your suggestions and see where I can improve the list. Its still early days and alot of playtesting is going to be required to see what works with each individuals play-style. That said, dropping the strike squad to max the purifiers and add a SR is an idea I'm toying with.

Yup. I like the idea of adding a SR to your list. You also mentioned swapping out the LRC for the godhammer LR. Remember, our LR can only hold 5 models in TDA so you won't fit the libby + 5 GKT in there.
Also, Brother Z is correct. Please refrain from posting actual point costs for individual gear and abilities. I'm sure we don't want to get into any legal trouble w/ GW

My apologies. I have updated the initial post to only list totals, putting some finishing touches on an update list which I will put up shortly...starting to feel a little naked when looking at , but thats the way it should be with GK

Re: Strasz' first attempt at 1750
OK, here is take 2, maxed the Purifier squads, threw in a SR and added a termi with Banner and Psycannon. The list is now only 8 kill points with potentially 5 scoring units.
*Crowe - 150
*Librarian - 175
-Empyrean Brain Mines, Might of Titan, Quicksilver, Warp Rift
**Purifiers x10 - 320
-2xPsyCannon, 2xIncinerator, 5xHalbred, M/C Deamon Hammer, Rhino
*Purifiers x10 - 280
-2xPsyCannon, 2xIncinerator, 5xHalbred, M/C Deamon Hammer
*Terminators x6 - 315
-Stave, 3xHalbred, Psycannon, M/C Deamon Hammer, Brotherhood Banner
*Land Raider Crusader - 270
-Multi-melta, Psybolt
*Stormraven - 240
-Hurricane Bolters, T/L Mulit-melta
One option would be to drop the Psycannons from one purifier squad(going in SR/LR) in favor of psybolt ammo for more punch out the gate. Can then also drop the brain mines for 2 extra CC weapons in the squad and then any remaining points into searchlights.

Everything is mobile, and the SR/LR will be nasty to take out.
It really packs a punch in CC although you trade off a little bit of combat ability for all the special weapons. That being said with a small army you need them, so its not a huge issue.
Shame you can't take Crowe in the Dreadnought transport section of the SR

Nice! Looking really good. Keep Crowe and his purifiers near, they'll tear appart any unit in CC. Alternatively the SR can ferry him and another squad wherever they're needed.
Try to squeeze Psybolt ammo for both vehicles. The SR has an Assault Cannon right? And don't loose the psycannons, they're absolutely necessary.
I'll be waiting for the battle reps. Cheers!
