Terminator Heavy GK Force 1750

While I liked the last terminator heavy list I posted here is another option, one I might actually take...

PAGK squads hang back in cover with psycannons targeting light armour and infantry from 36", while Dreadnoughts provide anti-armour support. Terminators deep strike in close to enemy and incinerate anything near them. Then use melta bombs or nemesis blades as necessary.

powerful but fragile army ... the 5 man PAGK squads are primary targets imho in 2/3 of the scenarios... i prefer 7 PAGK.

If you get your PAGKs into cover they get 4+ cover save.

I'm still playing around with ideas, but terminators seem to be way to go with me.

i hear your point, i love termies too (with the next dex it seems that we could make a "Grey knight wing" but 5 men squad s are very sensitive to shooting phases even with a 4+ cover saving, and when the cc phase comes your 3 left men squad will be blown by your opponent... well in the worst case of course Razz

Looks good. Only thing is your BC can't take melta bombs since he's in TDA.

Looks like a fun Knightwing list to play. As Aubec alluded to, though 5-man squads are pretty fragile at 1750pts. at least you've managed to squeeze three of them in. With p-cannons to boot. Well done. I'd use the points from the melta bombs and give one of your Dreads extra armor. In fact, I'd drop the Unguents as well for extra armor on the other Dread and give targeters and a second auspex to your GK squads. Your Dreads are going to be key targets and you can't afford them to shaken and standing around doing nothing for most of the game.

Yeah that sounds good nemesisforce.
You don't need targeters though now cause there are no Guess weapons in the game any more.

That's true there are no guess weapons but remember you can't pre-measure ranges to fire. Targeters allow that and though you most likely won't have to use them a lot, they'll come in handy if you need too. May as well take them since you have 3 spare points. Or maybe smokes for one of the Dreads.

Read the list and you'll find the dreads have smoke launchers already.

Ok targeters on GK squads....okies.

Grand Masters deepstrike in and using BS 5 unleash psycannons. 2 land raiders move as quick as possible up the field (I LOVE hurricane bolters! they fire no matter how far you've moved!) to disgorge GK incinerator squads.

It's a small army that I admit is pretty fragile. The Inquisitor provides solid anti-psych ability. and gives terminators something to lock on to

actually for the moment you can't take 2 GMs (0-1 GK Heroe only Crying or Very sad ) except for Stern who is beyond the army scheme.
