Hi,
This is my first GK list and before I get a buying frenzy I thought to post it here to get some advice. I have some points left and i'm not sure what to do whit it. My plan is to go hit and run with it so bassicly just moving arround and shooting and let my assassins take out heavy infantry like terminators.

You definitely need some heavy a/t in there. At the least a Dread with tllc. At this points level you might want to run a B-C instead of a GM to scrape up some extra points. Personally, I'd go with an Eversor over the two DCA's. They work best in tandem with an Eversor, not so good without support because of their low saving throws.

I'd try something like this:

B-C, 4 x GKT's w/'cinnie 260pts.
Justicar, 7 x GK's w/psycannon 250pts.
Justicar, 7 x GK's 225pts.
=I= w/Scourging 40pts.
Eversor 95pts.
Dread w/tllc 130pts.

I know that you want scourging, but what I've found to be a good upgrade for an Inquisitor is to have him armed with a Psycannon. It's basically the same BS as a Grey Knight, but he has 2 wounds compared to one. Besides, instead of random S5, AP5 Assault X shots, you get 3 definite S6, AP4 shots that ignore invulnerable saves. Besides, you don't need to test for it. Also, for your GM, I suggest giving him Hammerhand instead. It may be cheaper then Scourging, but it allows him to wreck vehicles and bigger stuff easily. Could really help him take at Walkers.

This is a suggestion of of course, see what you can afford at this points level first. Of course as a suggestion as well, add a Dreadnought at the very least.

i agree with my fellow brothers and add that you lack some vehicles there (with A/T) like a LR
but i agree you'll have to change a lot your list to integrate a LR ... so may be it's worth trying the list with the dread
by the way, as soon as you have an inquisitor and DC it's not a pure GK list but an iquisition-ordo malleus list ! Wink

I came up with the following list. Not sure if all the point costs are correct since I dont have the codex with me. Still have 10 pts left. Should I buy extra armour for the dread?

Or maybe give him a missile launcher instead. If not, then ea for him, a targeter for the GK squad with psycannon and melta bombs for a GK squad for the 11 points.

From what I can tell, you don't have any extra points to spend. The four Terminators are more costly then that. What you have there is the cost for 3 Terminators. Also, the Psycannon for the Inquisitor is not the same price as for a Grey Knight, its only a few more points at 30.

Aside from the few miscalculations, it's looking good. I suggest though that you add Extra Armor onto your Dread to help keep it moving, which would then leave you at one point remaining (994 Points with the actual cost of a Psycannon).

What I'm going to suggest is entire up to you, but what if you drop the Scourging spell from the Brother Captain? You'd be able to give your Dread another weapon besides a Storm Bolter then, such as a Missile Launcher or one of our two flamers.

I think:

Swap scourging with holocaust and use the extra 10 pts that you had for meltabombs on both PAGK squads.
After that its all good

Anyone else think that?

Thanks. I gave the Dreadnought an Incinerator instead of Extra armour and dropped the psychic power on the Captain. I still dont have the book so could anyone tell me how much Meltabombs are each? I think it was 5?

I'm afraid a Dread 'cinnie costs more than 5 points. Besides, your Dread is going to take a lot of heat and you'll be better served with the extra armor. Stunned results come around a lot and with ea at least you can still move.

I know. Incinerator is 15 but since I removed the power from the Captain I can afford it. And Extra armour is usefull but from my experience it doesn't happen allot. My vehicles usually get blown up right away Mad
