1500 pts. Daemonhunters Army
Alright, hey-hey folks, it's brother T posting yet another army list!
This time, it's a half-versatile Daemonhunters list at 1500 points (Hence the topic, duh). Instead of lingering like I usually do in my posts, I'll just post it right away. So, hum, here it goes!
HQ
- Brother-Captain w. Psychic Hood & Auspex, 4 Terminators 267 pts.
Elites
- Inquisitor w. CC-wep and Bolt Pistol 22 pts.
- Eversor Assassin 95 pts.
Troops
- Justicar w. Targeter & Auspex, 7 PAGKs, 1 w. Incinerator 238 pts.
- Justicar w. Targeter & Auspex, 7 PAGKs, 1 w. Incinerator 238 pts.
- 5 Inquisitorial Stormtroopers w. 2 Meltaguns, mounted in a Rhino w. Extra Armour & Smoke Launchers 128 pts.
- 5 Inquisitorial Stormtroopers w. 2 Meltaguns, mounted in a Rhino w. Extra Armour & Smoke Launchers 128 pts.
- 5 Inquisitorial Stormtroopers w. 2 Plasma Guns, mounted in a Rhino w. Extra Armour & Smoke Launchers 128 pts.
Heavy Support
- Land Raider w. Extra Armour 255 pts.
Total
- 1499 pts.
So, here it is. I got a 2-raider variant as well, which is as following;
HQ
- Brother-Captain w. Psychic Hood 81 pts.
Elites
- Inquisitor w. CC-wep and Bolt Pistol 22 pts.
- Eversor Assassin 95 pts.
Troops
- Justicar w. Targeter & 7 PAGKs, 1 w. Incinerator 236 pts.

- 8 Inquisitorial Stormtroopers w. 2 Meltaguns, mounted in a Rhino w. Extra Armour 125 pts.

Heavy Support
- Land Raider w. Extra Armour & Dozer Blades 260 pts.
- Land Raider w. Extra Armour & Dozer Blades 260 pts.
Total
- 1500 pts.
And there that is as well. So, first of, which of these lists do you prefer? And second of all, how could that list be improved in your opinion?

Both lists look really solid. I think I prefer the first one as I love the Termie/LR combo. At least that's what I'm guessing you'll be doing. Can't see any glaring faults in the list. Good-sized GK squads, the smaller IST squads nicely in Rhinos with meltas, no wasting of precious points on the =I=. Well done on both lists Tiberius.

This is an interesting idea. No termies but lots of mobility
Let us know how they fare.

Re: 1500 pts. Daemonhunters Army
Thanks for the comments!
The reason I knitted these together was because I just got me a few Kasrkin spec. wep. blisters, and wanted to dust of my old ISTs and let them see some action once again.
I'll definitively try out both lists, and see which works the best.
Oh, and when we're at it, I wondered what you'd think about removing a PAGK squad and swapping the PG-wielding ISTs with Flamer-wielding ones, and thus be able to add in another raider to the list? That would give me one less troop choice, but would remove the need to footslogg my PAGKs, meaning my remaining knights can join their termie brothers on the same round.
And I'd love to face a static army with all my units in vehicles. Imagine facing a force where all your units can see is two raiders, behind which my Rhinos are placed, like this;
______ ______
l.........l l.........l
lRAID.l l.RAID.l
l_____l l_____l
____________
l..R..l..R..l..R..l
l___l____l___l
Plus an Eversor rushing you first round.
Anyway, this is the list with one less PAGK squad but 2 Raiders and the Termies.
HQ
- Brother-Captain w. Psychic Hood & 4 Terminators 265 pts.
Elites
- Inquisitor w. CC-wep, Bolt Pistol & Frag Grenades 23 pts.
- Eversor Assassin 95 pts.
Troops
- Justicar w. Targeter, Auspex & Frag Grenades, 7 PAGKs, 1 w. Incinerator 239 pts.
- 5 Inquisitorial Stormtroopers w. 2 Meltaguns, mounted in a Rhino w. Extra Armour 125 pts.
- 5 Inquisitorial Stormtroopers w. 2 Meltaguns, mounted in a Rhino w. Extra Armour 125 pts.
- 5 Inquisitorial Stormtroopers w. 2 Flamers, mounted in a Rhino w. Extra Armour & Smoke Launchers 118 pts.
Heavy Support
- Land Raider w. Extra Armour 255 pts.
- Land Raider w. Extra Armour 255 pts.
Total
- 1500 pts.
In this list, the Rhinos are sadly lacking their Smoke Launchers, but hopefully, the raiders will draw enough fire. Opinions, folks!

While I always prefer multiple LR lists, your first list seems to be the most well-balanced.
However, your 3rd list also shows promise. Let us know how they do

I'm a huge fan of the multiple LR lists too, but with the way your looking at using IST's I think your looking at a viable list whichever choice you make!

I like the third list the most, it combines two elements that I like: terminators and land raiders
You also have mobility well sorted so thats good too, plus that eversor is going to cause a lot of trouble in round 1 (he'll probably be dead by round 2 though )
