I have a problem!!!

An oppurtunity, a moment to show the guys around here that grey knights doesn't epically suck.

So, this is the challange, a week after the new tyranids have arrived there will be a small tournament at the local gaming club.

1000 points, no restrictions.

So i need a list, deamonhunters, i am only held back by a few models, but that is quite easily fixed.

So the plan so far.

I will work soethiing out of this.

Units i want to field.

Grand master, standard Castus.
Holocaust
MC wep, sword.
Psycannon bolts.

190, the danger with this is that i will believe he has 4+ inv save and psychic hood (as he has always had)
235 with theese.

I can get in some storm troops, but the only special wep models i have are flamers, so i'm a bit restricted there.


I can add a 6 man stormtroops squad with 2 meltas and have 5 points left, i can tweak and twist and add a super pointless inquisitor (20 pts) and add the eversor, he might be devastating in such low points.

Or add terminators, not many though.

Perhaps a dread if i strip a bit.

I need ideas, i think it would be really fun to have that retard inquisitor and the eversor.

Personally, I'd add more Grey Knights with the extra points. A small squad of IST without transport probably won't survive that long. Especially since there might be a few Nid swarms making an appearance.

Problem is i don't have more models.

I can finish another plastic one, and perhaps buy a few, but i'd rather not (not that much money you see)

And i got really taken by the idea with.

An inquisitor..... with melta bombs.
Real epic. Too counter my lack of antitank

But the extra PAGK is noted.


Extra: If you don't feel like giving tactical advice, come up with as cool an inquisitor with about 30 pts limit. I will also hunt for some models, to see if i can find a cool one. It's just to allow the eversor.

For the purpose of fielding an eversor, I think an inquisitor w/ bolt pistol and CCW (22 pts) is enough. Attached him to a PAGK squad, he becomes fearless, effectively has T 4 and has 2 wounds. I think the potential damage an eversor can do will far outweigh the drawback. Just my two cents...

Two scoring units are the worst drawback I'd say, since you'd be in deep tyranid <you know what> if your enemy managed to take one or both of your PAGK squads down.

Remove two PAGKs from your 'cinnie squad, and add in five in a squad of their own, perhaps even with a 'cinnie as well.
210 - 50 = 160
870 - 50 = 820
820 + 160 = 980

20 points left for a hood or, without that hunter-killer, an Icon of the Just.

That idea's awesome! For every elites slot and 20 points left over, you can add 2 wounds to one of your PAGK squads! And he can carry a psycannon too, thus making him cost as much as a PAGK with the same weapon. That could be useful in a fire-support PAGK squad, giving them three psycannons at the same BS! Yummy!

Well, i could add my normal inquisitor, a guy with a psycannon, and have him in my mini purgation squad (which i normally field him in)

Although then i won't be able too afford the eversor.

I could change the list radically, and remove the raider and add a dreadnought.

I'm now basically going trough my options.

Thing is an inquisitor with Bolt pistol close combat weapon is almost more useless than the one with melta bombs, then i would rather have him without weapons.

Well, true but you wanted to stay under 30 pts for your inquisitor right? If you don't mind going over 30 pts, then giving him a psycannon would be the most useful

Well, if i drop 1 grey knight, psycannon bolts and the hunter killer i can afford a psycannon inquisitor and the eversor.

I reckon keep the LRC, for its anti troop fire power. Especially since it is the best LRC in all of the 40k codices (can always fire hurricane bolters!!!).

To make the 22pts inq. if you have a guardsman sergent greenstuff a cloak and bam! you have an inquisitor

Well, i think i will see if i can find any cool models, otherwise i will make a simple inquisitor.

It would be fun to have an inquisitor that looks like a scared retard, then i could say that "This is the kind of man who have the power to destroy worlds!"

I will check the gaming store for some cool models (they stock microart, hasslefree and warmachine/hordes models in store! Very practical.)

Ok, now i've found a cool model for an inquisitor with "bolt pistol" & CCW.

So him to have the eversor, and the list above.

It looks good to me, but with this Inquisitor and Eversor, I'm not entire sure if your still planning on dropping the bolts, a Knight, an the missile, but if you do, you have roughly 18 Points left over. You can add some of the stuff you took off back on.

Yeah, i remember roughly i can keep them all.

And still have the eversor.

Or i had to drop the hunter killer.


Anyways, i'll have to put in on table and look at their numbers.

Eversors are the bomb! Literally
I had a game a few days ago, and in it my evorsor infiltrated in and destroyed a basilisk in one turn then survivored a leman russ shooting all its guns at it lol.
In another game my evorsor destroyed a carnfiex and a hive tyrant in 2 turns!

Well, the most badass thing my eversor have done is saving my army (for a whole turn) almost dodging an entire eldar armies shooting.

He died from the very last guardian squad, 2000 points battle, or 1700.
Plenty eldar anyway.

Anyway, i guess all can agree that he is very useful, and he can eat tyranid monsters effectively.
