New Grand Master???
Check this thread from LoL
http://www.librarium-online.com/forums/daemonhunters/184046-new-grand-master-uk-games-day.html
One of the guys comments saying something along the lines of: A termie with a backpack? Thats weird?
But upon closer inspection of the model, it is a PA model!!! Is this a hint at what is to come? PA BC maybe?
My favorite part of the model is the hood thing, that is similar to the guy in my avatar (i think?). IMHO it ads some knightlyness to the model.

Re: New Grand Master???
May even be a justicar, odds are that GW will shift GK to all plastics which can hold greater detail than metals currently can.

that would be nice, though from what I've seen metal models usually have more detail then plastics. Compare the sternguard and vanguard models to tact squads and such. Or just PAGK to Tactical squads.

Re: New Grand Master???
That prototype model looks awesome Metal figures used to have more details but only when you compare them to the older plastic models. The new plastic releases from GW are off the charts! Just look at the Space Hulk Blood Angel termies and the new SW termies and SM. The details on those are just insane. I'm sure new GK models made with the same quality will totally outshine the current metal ones.

@Rivan: I suppose your right. The new space wolves models are crazy good, and I almost started collecting SW simply for that reason. But before very recently, even the Black Templar and dark angel models aren't as detailed as the GK models.

Re: New Grand Master???
The new plastic injection molds is quite new, around the time that 5th ed SM codex was released. Blood angels and black templar upgrade packs must have been released before. Or at least were designed before SM models were.
The new system makes it cheaper for citadel to manufacture minis over the old plastic system, so that means were going to see a lot less metal models (except for units in low demand e.g. stern guard)
You can see the new plastic improvements by comparing the metal and new plastic components of the LRC. The plastic huricane bolters, extra armour and assualt cannon are way more detailed than the old metal parts.

And you should take a look at the warhammer fantasy plastic chaos knights, the detail there is superb.

Hmmm, although i don't think that will ever be released.
Upon reading the thread itself and looking at the model.
"I believe all models from that shelf has been released"
Yes that shelf, but that one is in another shelf.
And look at the size.
"Loads of shelves was just sculptors playing around"
Considering the size.
I would guess it's a forge world space marine that has been modified to be a gk.
It's cool though.

Re: New Grand Master???
the mini is awesome !!
i think he's a justicar
be careful it could be this : before molding metal minis, sculptors make masters and then they make the firsts shots of molding in a resin-like matter (or PVC) and those minis (and the masters) could be 3 times bigger than the sold model, which is informatically reduced.
or this could be presentation work of a sculptor that wants to integrate the 'eavy metal team... like the tallarn of that spanish sculptor (that i forgot the name) in warseer.

It could be anything from a sculptor's personal conversion to early stages of a commercial model.
But it certainly gives us hope.

Think about it brothers. Yes it is huge. But GW make 3-ups of all their models before they shrink them down to normal play size.
It is posible that this is a 3-up of a new PAGK, not a GM.

Does anyone know when the DH are getting redone? I know the codex is coming out in like a year, is that when it will be happening?

Wow, that looks like a beastly model! And looking in the DH codex, he reminds me of Justicar Weiss. I don't want to get my hopes up to much, but won't that be bloody awesome to get some squads of PAGK like that ?

@Klomster: I believe I read it on BOLS, not sure though. I think in the next year there will be a release of Tyranids, Necrons, Dark Eldar, and DH.

Re: New Grand Master???
The model looks cool but other than the halberd there seems to be no iconography or such to make me think 'Grey Knight'. The only rumors I've heard lately is that the codex is being 'worked on'. Though good to hear, just ask a DE what 'worked on' means to him.

@Nemisisforce: It also has a psychic hood, a shield, and what looks like it could be the book thing on the center of the breast plate.

Hmmm...the pics a bit too blurry for my tired old eyes to make out what the chest ornament is. I'll admit it does look a little bit like the =I= on our Termies.
