May the Emperor protect...

Hello good and worthies...

I'm relatively new to 40K, only been playing a year now... mini's have always been a little to costly for me over the years to bother tring it, but now I'm hooked much to the wife's horror. I've been a gamer since junior high... over a quarter of a century now (getting old ), mostly RPG's like Harn. But the last 7 years have seen an increase in interest in table top games like B5 Fleet Action and Blood Bowl, you should see my Earth Force Fleet. Now the adiction is squarely set on 40K, which I keep telling my wife that I've have everything I need.

Been going a little crazy with my Imperials... I'm sitting around 7K to 8K with them and a nice 3K of Grey Knights (which I hope to increase a bit more)... you got to love those big apoc games!

I look forward to reading the news on the forum... I've always been a bit of a forum junkie, which is natural since I'm a mod on the Harn forum and a memeber of a few others... I'm just a gamer a heart!

Like you i love Apocalypse. I´m dreaming of a game with only World Eaters and Khorne daemons on the other side. Then i will get a battle like the 1st War of Armageddon. My SW and GK will smash them. Muuuhhhhhaaaaaa. Ahm...sorry.
Sounds that we all come in the years. You should post a pic of your fleet. Even that it is not 40K related i´m sure the others would like to see at least one pic.

That's what I'm kind of aiming for. As it stands right know off the top of my head ( I work the oil patch and i'm about 1100Km from home at the moment) I have an HQ: Inquisitor Lord and Retinue, Vindicar Assassin, & land raider, A GKGM w/ 3 GKTerm ret HQ, 2 squads of GK Term (7 ea), 3 squads of GK (2 7man, & 1 5man), 2 GK Dreadnoughts ( one is built the second is a Forge world chassis and weapons - need the legs still), a 2 10man squads of storm troopers with Rhinos.

My Imperials is two much to list but I can give you the compete formations: 1 CC squad w/4 squad mech platoon w/ autocannons, 1 CC squad w/4 squad Light Inf platoon, HQ Platoon w/ 2 teams of snipers & 2 heavy bolter teams, 2 squads of Storm troopers, 2 Squads of Veterans,1 Sentinel reccon company w/ support Sentinel, 1 Emperors Fist tank company, 1 Executioner, 1 exterminator, 1 Vanquisher, 1 Conqueror, 1 HellHammer, 1 Thunderbolt, 1 Hellhound, 1 Tank Destroyer, 3 baslilks, 1 Griffon...

All of it is built and more than half of it is painted. The only thing I really want, and it will take a fair amount of begging and groveling to pull of is 2 Warhound Titans backing up a Reaver Titan. I don't care if I nerver got to play them, but hell would they look cool standing with the rest of my army.

On the plus side my daughter is showing interest in the game... so at least I'll be able to pass it all on when the Emperor finaly calls for me. The wife has promissed to put "I'm mostly done" on my head stone in referance to my urge to collect.

When I get home I'll take some pics and post them.

Yeah... I went a little nuts. But damit there so cool looking! I find that Ebay can save you tons. For the most part I'm done for awhile... the odd bit here and there. But for the most part those two armies are finished... somewhat... just a few things to add.

I forgot to add that I also have a land raider terminus Ultra and a Space marine sniper squad (5 SM). There a nice fill for those Apoc games... I was going to have the LRTU with my GK, but I decided to keep it seperate and part of my small marine force.
