A new DaemonHunter army, A New collecter.

Hi guys! Quite obviusly the title gives away the content, but my freind is going to collect a DaemonHunter army. Also obviusly I have given him advice on what him to get; but knowing me i wanted to get this forum involded so:

Write down a list on a Legal army and the prices, Such as:

HQ
Grey Knight Terminators (5 men) 35 Pounds-My pound symbol doesn't work lol.

Elites
Grey Knight Terminators X 2 (10 men) 70 Pounds

Troops
Grey Knights In Power armour X4 (20 men) 60 pounds

-With Fast attack, Heavy support, Ect.

You get the idea? Good ! Me and my freind will be checking this thread on a daily Basis to see what great ideas you guys have come up with! Now get helping!!!

What army size are you going for? because having 10 terminators is a costly thing, points wise and money wise.

That was just an Example, not the real thing. The force would be around 1500-2500 points.

If he runs out of money just fill up the Heavy Support Choices with Orbital Bombardments

Lol, thats a good idea accualy.

Yeah, he can completly block the enemy trying to get near him!

Although all orbital strike are done before the game starts after the Deployment...It would still be good for taking out what you don't like the took of before it gets to you.

Two problems with that idea if you're refering to the Orbital Strikes in the codex deamonhunters

1) theres definatly a 0-1 limit on them.

2) they are placed in reserve, so they can't show up until 2nd turn, and then they land during your shooting phases.

Since your friend is going to buy GKs in power armour regardless, the only thing to consider is whether he'd rather buy blisters of guys and a justicar, or if he wants to buy the boxset, difference being: the blisters don't come with an incinterator (if he doesnt want one)

Does your friend have any other 40k armies ? (ie can he just buy a squad of GKs and have them as allies to get a feel for them ?)

He has a Chaos army...So i don't think having Grey Knights allied with Chaos would work all that well lol.

does your friend want to make it a 'pure' greyknight force? or is he also using the inquisitor side of the codex ?

He would perfer Pure.

I suppose its all about how many GK in power armour vs how many termies he wants.
Also, dreads vs landraiders.
