Grey Knight House Rules

I'm looking for IG/bountyhunter/roguetrader/adventurer women to fill in my inquisitor retinues for the future WH army, that i'd like to make.

I want only female minis for it and if possible only GW minis

Do you know were i could find them ??

especially the female bountyhunter from the necromunda range (ugly as hell but well in the style of the army ) and the space marine woman that i could use as an armoured acolyte.

But after reading the weapons load out, I've noticed that it says nothing about what the Sister Superior is loaded out with at no extra point costs like all of the other Superiors out there. And after looking over the squad box on the GWS site, it left me feeling a bit odd. I've read over ...

I've seen this several times and it is brought up in many tacticas. This is concerning the instant kill function of DH force weapons. Can someone explain to me why our force weapons still inflict instant kills on units that are immune to instant death (e.g. synapse and eternal warrior)?

I understand that our codex says that the model loses all their wounds and not specifically that it causes instant death, but aren't they effectively the same thing?

On a side note: I think that units ...

I am just starting my second 40K force. Daemonhunters.

But what to do with them?

I have come up with 4 different builds and wondered what people think of each.

1) Pure DH. Inqs, Assassins and ISTs

2) Pure GK. Just Grey Knights and GK vehicles

3) GK + DH. Mainly Grey Knights with 1 Inq, Assassins and maybe 1 IST squad.

4) DH + GK Mainly Inq, Assassins, ISTs and a couple of GK units.

Thoughts, comments and ideas?

Thanks in advance

Hello all, this is what I had in mind for my first Grey Knights army. This is for going against Daemons Only. The reason this is quit a large point army for a beginner is because I get the feeling that they are only good in large games. I try and make a 1k and a 1.5k list but you just have well..nothing to be perfectly honest. Even this high up you can't put much in. At some point I'll play smaller games, but only when I Know what I must have and what I can afford to leave, but that will only ...

Has anyone read the Horus Heresy novels?

I have read "Horus rising", and I am half way through "False Gods". Man I am enjoying these novels!!

It is awesome how Chaos is an un-known force to the marines and how the Sons of Horus are having to come up to speed quickly!

I am really finding these novels are raising my hatred of Daemons beyond levels I ever thought possible!! And those are some high levels considering the fact I am a Brother Grey Knight

Hey guys

Sorry but I couldnt find an answer to this using search. People, especially daemons of chaos players, keep telling me that their daemons should have the without number rule against me because of the GK Daemonic Infestation rule. As far as I can see this is a lot of bull because:

A) it details Daemon Packs and Daemonic Beasts Packs specifically, as per the units in the back of the GK book and theres no such thing in the Daemons of Chaos book (although there are nurglings so ...

*disclaimer: this thread is not about fluffy armies. It's about stealing a win when the opponent thinks your clearly loosing*

A two land raider army is a great example of a denial Army. You can build a 1850 list down to two GK squads in land raiders, and one squad of termies with a GM attached. Why would you do this? Well the point of most 40k games, when you look at tournament scoring, is almost never to kill the most enemy units. It's to end the game in a certain spot, or to kill ...

Hello all fellow brothers of the Order. While not a newer player I am new to your boards. I learned of your site through the Bolter and Chainsword. I look foward to seeing what others of our favorite Grey Knights have to offer and I hope to do the same.

What special weapons do you use?

What do you give BCs and Justs?

With my order of that Grey Knight Dreadnought from forgeworld slowly but surely on its way, I have already begun plotting what I want next: Lord Inquisitor Hector Rex!

Well for the hell of it, after looking at some of the extra Storm Troopers that I have lying around (Was planning on combining both GKs and ISTs later down the line in bigger games), I decided to try putting together a Combat Patrol list after reading over the rules. It's appears interesting in its respect that it's Patrol on Patrol action.

Anyway, here is the list:

Squad 1

7x Storm Troopers

2x Special Weapons (2 of 7 carrying the weapons)

Squad 2

7x Storm Troopers
