Space Marine Game!

Well, in case you guys haven't heard, there's that new Space Marine game in the pipes. Originally it looked like Gears of War re-skinned. But now, they've officially announced it's development... and it's going to be an "action RPG"! This could be exciting... especially if they do it a la Mass Effect! The only thing left to worry about is the plot, although that looks like it's going to be standard fare. SM vs. Orks with the likely dash of Eldar thrown in (they always show up for some reason...)

There's not much to go on... so what do you guys think is up?

Trailer looks pretty cool. I wonder if the players will have to play as ultra marines or if the color schemes will be customizable.

Well considering it's going to be a platform game, I doubt that it will be very customizable. Maybe for multi-player, but I don't know how customizable it will be obviously.

The single player is definitely be all Ultras. Which is fine with me. I hate how people complain that other chapters don't get much coverage and then double back with how much other chapters that have been covered are totally screwed up. Either you want GW to make stuff up for them or you don't. I feel that this way, GW/relic/THQ can have their story line and leave all the other chapters up to the gamers.

And the COOLEST animated orks i've ever seen.

It never stops to get more awesome.

Put in grey knights and it will be the most awesome game of all time!

You can say that again!!!! I like the part with the power sword best.
Next release should be titled Grey Knight and consist of a squad of GKs battling the forces of Chaos and Daemons!!!! I think the main reason the GK game hasn't been made yet is because everyone is waiting for the graphic and game play technology to reach a standard that can do the game justice

Yeah I too has seen the games trailer and a video that gives a small tour on the first enemies,comboes and the first mission.
I myself am not too happy about playing Ultra-Smurf,but atleast there is no Papa-Smurf(Marneus Calgar).Yeah I totally agree that there should so be a game for Grey Knights as that would be totally awesome.But I'm hoping for multiplayers the customize options are good because I don't want to go out to the net playing with smurfs.Man if there just could be enought customization that I could make my multiplaeyr dude look like a White Raven.
Now that would be cool as White Ravens are so kick ass awesome.
It's a shame that I didn't win the price in the Nemesis Crown campaign as the Price would have been a final tuornament of the campaign in UK for the top 3.I was 4th.I was 3th on a good lead from the 4th guy,but then there were 2 brothers playing against each other and the one with lower points score totally gave up the game,giving his bro full points for the win and he went before me in the scores.

I am impressed that the brothers in the campaign worked together like that, but at the same time seems unfair that they should have been allowed to use such an unfair strategy.

Sry not in the near future as my camera is broken and I don't have any pics at hand.If I ever get some pic in here let me give you a warning: My painting is absolutely horrible.Seriously.
So I don't really like showing any pics of my army even if I would have any.
And I am more of the type who is in warhammer bacause of the games and not painting and conversing.I had at that campaign 3nd lowest painting scores as my painting is really horrible.
And I only was better than the 2 because they had figures that were compleately unpainted as my army is all painted,but still horribly painted.

I think it's actually really easy to admit it as I don't really try to make my guys look like über cool.I do however try to make as good as I can at the same time as I try to make it fast.

Ah, rejoice brothers, this looks EPIC!!! I have been waiting for such a gift from the Emperor since I got into Warhammer 40K!!

It certainly looks like a mixture of Gears of War, Devil May Cry 3, and perhaps Dynasty Warriors. It's sure to be fun, and I love the idea for leveling your character up and equipping him with better war gear. Namely, starting in normal Power armor and climbing to Terminator armor. I do know that the multiplayers suppose to be able to offer up a lot more, namely playing Chaos Space Marines as you wish. I pray for Grey Knights!!

Remember Brothers, since its going for the Xbox 360 and PS3, it will be BOUND to have expansions. Even if the forces of the Inquisiton aren't in the main game, I'd wager they might make an appearance as an expansion.

And if they don't.

We can put up a "mini campaign" where we spam the creators saying what oppurtunities they have if they create a gk themed second game or expansion!

Emperors Disfigured Bottom! I'm sold on it, when is the release date? Is it unconfirmed?

I think they'll make the "expansions" Downloadable content much like Fallout 3, like maybe 800 Live points?

Too bad I see Ultras... I hope you get to "create-a-Chapter/character", if that is done, everyone of my guys will carry a storm bolter and a Power Weapon, Jump Packs Optional.

First Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2, now this... I've a lot of games to look foward to...

Another thing, my Mate told me about a 40k MMORPG in the making, ETA 2012 he says. Not sure where he found the info, but he's a MMO nut(plays WO:AoR and WOW, not to mention loves his Chaos Marines and Space Wolves.), therefore, I think I can trust him.
