Re: GW News
Seems strange that the 5th edition box set is being released 2 months after the rules themselves. Are they planning to tie it in with the Space Marine release maybe? Snowfire: any news on future LotR stuff as well?

Re: GW News
Yes infact - The last 2 named ringwraiths will be released around Sep-Oct as blisters and there are 5 new direct only models coming - The Three Hunters - Aragon (HOLDING A BOW!!!!!), Legolas and Gimli, and new Gandalf and Elrond models.

Re: GW News
Nothing yet, but I do know that unless it is a major release such as a new sourcebook or the such for LOTR they will be sharing their releases in the same month as 40k and Fantasy. But I'll keep my ears open. There is the very real possibility of the Hobbit being done in the same was as the LOTR - Models and everything.

Re: GW News
Aren't the models already done in the "Battle of the 5 Armies" anyway though? I don't think New Line could get rights for the Hobbit though so there won't be a film, unless they do/did get the rights.

Re: GW News
I heard that new line had rights for the Hobbit and the Simarillion
I think both will be amazing movies
The Simarillion is a heavy read at times
but was great none the less

Are they doing silmarillion???
If, it would be wicked! I read it and dang, it was long and heavy read, but!
The battles! Holy stuff! Multiple balrogs against armies of men and elves, (mostly elves)
And it was cool knowing the creation of the dwarves!
Wonder what stats that elven hero who beats multiple balrogs at once should have?

Re: GW News
Maybe the stats of the Balrogs would be lowered.....they are younger afterall, that way you wouldn't have all powerfull characters running around.........or maybe you should have. LOL
To represent the Simarillion battles properly GW will almost have to design an Appocolypse style sytem for LOTRs. HHHMMMMM.....Interesting
Morgoth will be awesome.

Re: GW News
I really don't think you could make any type of decent film from the Simarillion, it's far too disjointed to be coherent.
Now if you took some of the main characters (Luthien?, Tunivel?, Feanor?) and streamed those you'd get a right blood love story.

I think if you began the Simarillion with the right Narrative and a bunch of lights and music in the darkness, then slowly focused in on a planet you could cover the beggining well enough. As for being disjointed, they could do it Pulp Fiction style and flip from one story to the other.
Or maybe........cover the disjointed stories in their own movies!!!
Re: GW News
We can rest easy Constantine. The new Canadian WD does come with the QR sheet. I was mildly surprised to see the different speed classifications for vehicles: combat, cruising and flat out speed. Pretty cool that they have an article with a paragraph or two for ALMOST every army and how the new rules will affect them. Would have even been cooler though if they would found time to write a paragraph for us Daemonhunters as well. I'm looking on the brightside though as BT's, DA's and Witch Hunters weren't mentioned either. We at least have some company on our isolated little island. Or should I say 'forgotten' little island?

Re: GW News
It does get frustrating at times being the last to get updated/considered. But like you said Brother NemesisForce at least other chapters are left out...for now.
I have said it before and I will say it again...With such an emphasis being put on the new chaos/Daemon releases through GW and Forge World ( I just saw the new Death Guard/Plague Marine Dreadnaught) I can't help but think there are good things in store for the Grey Knights
And even if there aren't (HERESY!!!) we will have some amazing looking opponents to send back to the Warp!!! Regardless of the outcome, we will continue our secrete crusade against the endless hoards of Daemons, and we will remain unknown to the majority of the Imperium of Man. But noteriaty is not one of our goals and it's absence will not impede us in our work.
Stay true Brothers!!!

Just think brothers.
Even if we never saw an update, we can still hold true to the fact that we have some of the BEST looking Terminators ever created.
