Indeed, hence why I will only post from reliable sources, eg my boss, his boss, and anyone from further up the chain who lets something slip
Re: GW News
Does that mean I'll still have ages to collect an Adepta Sororitas army?

Re: GW News
Ok time for a new update.
I bring news on 5th edition.
Bear with me, it's a long one and this is just information I have been given, I haven't seen the book yet (next week I will), but it is all from the proper sources.
Fast Skimmers are the only vehicles that can move 24 inches.
Vehicles are now only destroyed on a 5 or 6 (new damage tables).
If a shot passes through a friendly model, the target unit gets a 4+ cover save. (Inducted Storm Trooper meat shield?)
Units cannot consolidate into combat.
Troops are the only scoring unit in the game now, and count as scoring no matter how many models are left in the unit.
Units can go to ground, gaining a +1 to their cover save, or a 6+ cover save in open terrain.
Units with Infiltrate or Scout rules coming on from reserves can come on from the side table edges now.
Infantry and Walkers can sacrifice their shooting to RUN d6 inches forward.
A transport can carry any unit, not just their starting unit. (Rhino and Chimera taxis for Grey Knights anyone?).
Units assaulting vehicles always count as attacking the rear armour.
Blast weapons now scatter 2d6 minus the BS of the shooter.
Obscured vehicles now have a 4+ cover save.
Units that scatter within 1 inch of an enemy unit now roll on the Deep Striking Mishap table, as opposed to being wiped out.
You can now RAM enemy vehicles with your own vehicles.
Prefered Enemy special rule allows you to re-roll misses in close combat.
Sniper Rifles have RENDING. This means that a 6 on the TO WOUND roll counts as AP1.
If a unit is charged, they get a 6 inch counter charge move. This means more models into combat, and if the charged unit has the Counter-Attack rule, they get +1 attack when they move in.
Brothers, looks like we are going to be looking at a completely new type of 40k. I think things just got easier for us.

Re: GW News
I have seen this rumors before linked from warseer.
There seems to be very good rules that improve the game. I really like running and ability to get down for better cover. They both are choises to make and they make game better.
Runnin should be usefull for storm troopers with rapid fire weapons as they may moove bit more to get at effective firing range. Ofcourse this will be more usefull for some other armies with more short range or rapid fire weapons or willing to get in melee. There was rumour that fleet of.. rule allows firing as difference with running.

Re: GW News
Space Wolves are gonna rule the Close Combat, they already have counter attack, so they get the extra attack! AND Wolf Guard have an upgrade that lets them get a +1 attack when they counter-attack, that could mean 5/4 (extra C/C weapon) attacks on a counter attack!!! Scouts are getting even better in my book too, my Wolf Scouts are already reknowned for their superior Infiltration skills and their suicidal/heroic charges, and now I'll have more reason to get a sniper team. I think Auduns Great Company is going to be famous for it's scouts abilities! And hurrah for the running ability, no more Grey Hunter Packs(tacktical skwad(<--Space Wolves are unable to spell)) walking toward the enemy. And if they don't like it I'll borrow a power whip from a Repentia Mistress. Not being able to consolidate into C/C is gonna leave them open to a LOT of vengefull shots from the enemy though, but I suppose it's sorta cheating if a Blood Claws Pack can just link from unit to unit without taking damage back. Also thank god Land Raiders have 14 back armour (DON'T CHANGE IT
)
Transports may help out the Grey Knights. Does the Go to Ground rule mean that you can't shoot or can't move or both? (I would say just unable to move but it's not me writing the rules) Also, would they count as being in cover for assault purposes if they Go To Ground in open space?

Re: GW News
Hmmm, good questions. Not too sure. I'll hopefully know by the end of next week and will confirm and let you know then.

Re: GW News
Rhino transports for GK's? This could put a new twist on GK army lists. It's always possible though that some unit/vehicle restrictions may still apply. GK's may not be allowed to use Rhinos/Chimeras because the option is not in their entry. However, with the new rules any ST unit may be able to use any Rhino/Chimera on the board. Just trying to reduce the possible letdown for myself.
Tactics: All good in theory, all gone to hell in practice.
Re: GW News
New rules state that if the transport can carry power armour, then it can pick them up. Throw the ST unit out at the start, and put the PAGK in the transport. It may not be in their entry in the book, but you can do it in the game.

Lots of weird stuff.
Some seem good.
Some seem bad.
Lets all pray that the emperor lets the book of restrictions be too our favor!
