When I said I wanted a chat box I was more meaning a box where you leave a message, and anyone can see it if they are logged in and reply, it -can- be used for instantaneous chatting, but its also just an area where you can comment and people can chuck a quick response.
This system on the other hand is more like a MSN window, and when i refresh it always logs me out.
