Ever feel the dice are against you?

I just lost my 7th game in a row.

And it sucks.

I cannot roll higher than a 3 in most circumstances. Except for leadership when I can consistantly pull out an 11 or 12 on two dice.

Anyone have any tips on improving dice rolls, WITHOUT weighted dice?

The statistical answer? Make more dice rolls. The same principle that tells us that we shouldn't put our Grey Knight Terminators up against 40 wimpy Guardsmen because "some of them will get lucky hits" also decrees that you can get more reliable kills with Inquisitorial Stormtroopers than with anything else in your army.

Of course, that also means that you would have to take Inquisitorial Stormtroopers, so... *shrugs* Meh.

Make the correct sacrifice to the right god before each battle.

Really no good or bad way to role it comes down to luck, but I find a positive attitude has alwasy seemed to help, when you down and just roll you get rubbish but be postive and roll with your head up, try it may just be psycological.

When I have bad dice rolls they usually get worse, but when I have good dice rolls they get even more lucky. With they Tyranid game I played last week, my dice rools at the start were average to bad, but as I did slightly better and made good descisions, the Dice Gods favored me. No idea how it works, but just try to keep a positive feeling, once my predator missed every single shot for about 4 turns, obviously affecting my mood, and all my other dice rolls somehow became worse, and I lost the game. But I can't help thinking that if I started better, I would have won. Overall, you need to make the right decisions and have a nausious bout of optimism, and even if you lose, you won't care because you know that you gave it your best shot.

I'm going to go and die now because of all the happyness in the air. Yuck.

Yea, at the moment the Dice Gods and I have an understanding.

They give me bad dice rolls and I understand this.

my own dice hate me!

I gave tham a home, a nice dice bag, and plenty of games, but they still hate me!

I only won TWO battles of 40K so far!

and since GK do not roll to flee, I NEVER ROLL A SIX, NOR A FIVE!

and even worse, I usually roll good numbers to hit, but when is wound time... I could wound with 2+, and in rolls of 8 dice, I roll at least four or five ones!

I order and already get the avatar of aurellias figure from reaper, and he will be my god of dice!

I just bought a batch of master-crafted dice so I shouldn't have too many bad games.

I am very lucky with dice rolls my friends all say that I destroy all statistical averages I usually do very well but even with that there are times that I can not roll a 2+ to save the lives of my terminators. such as 4 wounds and 4 terinators dead. I do know that my extreme luck started when I sacrificed a 500+ terminator squad to the deepstrike gods. so if they will exept your sacrifice give it.

I know that this is superstition, but i have my dices in the same color as my GKs and before each throw i never forget to praise the Emperor and to mention before i made armour saves that the Emperor protects. Believe it or not most the time it works and the the Emperor guides my hand.

I wish that happened to me too, most of the time i pray to the emperor that the warriors of his cause will stand and fight, and win.

They are very good at standing.

When it comes to fighting, they seem to be worse than normal marines with a knife sometimes.

When it comes to winning............ lets not mention that!

Dice hate you, but sometimes they just dislike you!

I had an old friend whose dice rolls would often cause riots at the local games. The guy would pick up a handful of dice, and start shooting them out across the table one by one, with a very quick and steady rhythm. All eyes would turn to them...

1,1,6,6,1,6,6,1,6,1,6,6,1,1,6,1,6,6....

It once took him two hours to convince his opponent that he wasn't cheating. In three years of gaming together, I never once saw him roll something else. Creepy.

Of course, i am always pessemistic in a positive way when i play!

Otherwise i'm only optimistcially pessemistic, unless i'm bored, then i can be pessemistically optimistic too liven things up.

Or sometimes i can go really rouge and be pessemistically pessemistic too inspire awe and fun!

To play GK you need the right mindsetting and anough faith in the Emperor and if it doesn´t work for you, you don´t have enough faith
