Re: My Idea!
I think the basketball player but slightly bulkier is more likely realistic. There is no rationale in the armour being as thin as it is in that representation. Also from reading the first horus book I'd definately be inclined to think there is alot more to the armour. I don't know if its production has advanced or something, but its pretty strange that the 'power armour' is about the thickness of normal clothes in some areas.
The Justicar legs are definately very thin even compared to normal GK but I would say its to give the pose and his ribbons/lion cloth a bit more definition.

One thing we have to separate is the visual art concept and the actual model cast. I think GW's plastic production technology has significantly improved (just look at the BA termies from SH). I have no doubt that if and when they come out w/ our new codex along w/ (hopefully) new plastic GK models, they will look even better. Still, I think our current GK models are still awesome, specially the GKTs

Yea thats to be sure, the GKTs have to be some of the finest models made!
I noticed when mentioned the Justicars different leg widths, but looking at the model it doesn't strike me as odd, or out of place. Looks appropriate. That being said it is covered by the loincloth and purity seals.

Hmmm...... maybe make resin molds of our GKT and make Resin GKT! If you know how... They are indeed the Emperors finest(models).

Re: My Idea!
Nah, that's really a bad idea, if gw finds out they will sue your ass of, theoretically.
But you could do strangely similar models in green stuff, and even sell them with somewhat different names.
Then it's ok.
Like the Iron brotherhood. Which "isn't at all similar" to adeptus mechanicus models and almost name.
Perhaps the "Steam templars" supreme warriors of the intergalactic commandos, armed with halberds blessed by the steam templar priests.
Perhaps you get my idea. But copying gw models (or most other things) is copyright infringement and is illegal, actually, according to law, gw owns all gw models and everything we do counts as..... something, but i don't remember the fancy word.

Yeah, straight copies of gw models is very not good.
But making resin copies of gkt should be pretty simple, and not to mention easier to work with.
But then, it's illegal, you could do it, just don't ever tell anyone or use the models.
Which makes it kinda pointless.
