Troops- 9 GK's with incinerator + justicar with targeters and frags (in land raider)

4 GK's with 2 psycannons + justicar with targeters and frags

Hevy support-

I'm kinda on the edge about the 5 man terminator squad if you have any better suggestions for their points please speak up.

Thank you.

Go for the 3 LR config and see your opponent pee his pants thinking how much he misses not getting more Las cannons (and in 5th Space Marines will be like Chaos or every other Marine, meaning 10 marines for 1 heavy weapon)

You are using a very CC oriented army, you might as well read the Bolter and Chainsword post on Water Warriors to give you some extra ideas about your LR.

Personally, I'd swap the smaller GKT unit for another LR or even a couple of a/t Dreads. With all the 5th edition rumors you may not be able to fire the lascannons on the move. If you're planning to use the LR's for assault (which it does look like) this will really handicap your a/t ability and at the 2000 point level this could really hurt.

I'm liking the second list much better. Now if only those incinerators were psycannons. That's just my personal taste though.

Toasty. Flamers don't usually work that well for me so I usually stay away from them, unless I fight a Tyranid/Ork army

How do you reckon this would run for a tournament list?
Grand master
master crafted weapon
power weapon
sacred incence

retinue of 7 termies

10 pagk
mastercrafted weapon
psycannon

10 pagk
mastercrafted weapon
psycannon

10 pagk
mastercrafted weapon
psycannon

Dreadnought
T/L lascannon
missile launcher
extra armour

Dreadnought
T/L lascannon
missile launcher
extra armour

LR crusader
smoke launchers

Thats 2000pts
got a tournie in bout a month
just trying to think up a few ideas

Why does your GM have a power weapon? The NFW is superior in all ways.

I think the 'master crafted weapon' is the NFW. He's just swapping the stormbolter for a power weapon. I like the list a lot. Nice big squads for GK's. Although S6 master-crafted power weapons are cool you won't be using them every turn. May I suggest to drop the 'master-craftmanship' on the Justicars and upgrade one of the Termies to Brother-Captain w/psycannon instead? He'll most likely be using the psycannon every turn and this way your GM won't be tied down with the squad.

By the way: welcome to the site.

If you are correct and the PW is a swap for the Stormbolter, I definately don't see the point. It's points spent on a weapon that you'll never use.

I'm thinking it's more likely a typo.

Thanks for the welcome!
no not a typo, the power weapon gives the gm an extra attack!
im considering using the crusader as a transport for the termies, i wouldnt seperate the gm from the squad, i think a psycannon brother captain would go to waste, i will only be using them for combat. but then again there maybe battles/ situations where i wont want to seperate them from the bulk of the force and using the crusader as troop support instead. drop the crusader and the master crafts for another 10 man squad? though i think the crusader is important, since it is not a dedicated transport i can run any unit in it, making it easier to take objectives and use the tank as a line of sight block to ensure they stay a scoring unit. i dont know, I've been playing gk's for 5 years but have never played a proper tournie with them.
