If you go to the user profile and where you choose your avatar, it's supposed to be there.

I don't know how it actually looks and so, guess it's the green one.

There is no actual answer to this it is left up to us to decide at the moment and allows a certain air of mystrery to surround the Grey Knights.

The 2 theories are as already stated by some:

1) Emperor's DNA/Gene-seed (not sure as he was human if he had one but he may have given himself surgery so he had one, but thats for another discussion) use to create Grey Knights.

2) A purified 'cocktail' gene-seed of the eight loyal Space Marines from the traitor legions(Garro and others), presented to the Emperor by Malcador as he had been asked by the Emperor to find a group of mariness who were loyal, courageous and their strength of mind was unquestionable.

Personally I think it is a combination of the 2. Where the emperors own DNA use to make gene-seed for the Grey Knights and the loyal Space Marines were the founding fathers.

Indeed i do believe its a mix of the two.

Prehaps the way it was purified was WITH the emperors gene-seed?

Guys we've establisished that it was Battle-Captain Garro Of The 10th Company Death Guard that founded the Grey Knights, If you would take time to read the book, "Flight Of The Eisenstine" in the Horus Heresy Series you would see.

Also Praex we need a Pre-Heresy Luna wolves badge as a Avatar option, as Captain Qruze of the Luna Wolves DNA was also Used.

I would agree it is a strong possibility but and I am going from memory the wording in Flight Of The Eisenstine is "we need men of such inquisitive nature" which would also strongly lead to the idea they were the founding members of the inquisition. The thing is there is no definative answer it is all just educated guess work and speculation based on snipets of information.

Well, at least MY Grey Knights are made from the Emperors DNA...

These marines are thought to be the founding members of the Inquisition and the militant arm of their Ordo Malleus - the Grey Knights.

Taken directly from Wikipedia. An article which I have disussed many times over Wikiepdia. One that I am know sure is true.

That is more than definatly a refferal to the Grey Knights.

The Grey Knight were created using Captain Garro of the Grey Knights. Like it or not, the Emporer's DNA is not conclusivly in the Grey Knights.

Well noticed, but at this point in the story line of the Horus Heresy the Imperium knows nothing of Daemons. The Daemons were spawned on Istavaan III, and even so no Imperial force could get to Istavaan.

So as you must appricate they didn't know about the Daemons yet.

If they did not know about Daemons, which I agree with why would they use Garro to make Daemonhunters??????

Daemon Hunters is the name of the Codex, our target is Chaos.

The imperium needed people of unquestioning loyalty and ability to take on this insidious enemy - people who had proved themselves beyond doubt.

The Emperor did know about Daemons as did certain Primarchs, what they didn't appreciate was the threat that these creatures posed.

GK were formed to battle Chaos in all its forms not just the daemon.

But i think garro ended up as an inquisitor.

For the ordo malleus perhaps, i think they were the first one.
