Which Race (Appart from The DaemonHunters) Is Your Favorite
Re: Your Favorite Non DaemonHunter Warhammer 40000 force
I'm going to have to go with Space Marines here, they rock!
Re: Your Favorite Non DaemonHunter Warhammer 40000 force
I dunno, I play greyknights because its a completely different style than dark eldar (other army), oh and because the models rock. I don't think I could stomach a greyknight army and have a spacemarine army as a second choice - Thats just me, no disrespect to the 98% of warhammer that plays spacies.

Re: Your Favorite Non DaemonHunter Warhammer 40000 force
I don't see how your disrespecting any-one there. I'm in the middle of making a Space Marine army myself.

Re: Your Favorite Non DaemonHunter Warhammer 40000 force
I can't say much against Space Marines myself, the just seem too formated and orginised to be a real force, I mean every army has a weakness that can be exploited, but Space Marines don't seem to, thats why the Concept of "Super-Soliders" Won't be Space Marines. Because their too perfect to be true.
Re: Your Favorite Non DaemonHunter Warhammer 40000 force
Space mariens greatest weekness, orks plain and simple with their no better than a 4 plus saves with choppas discounting invunerbles of course
Re: Your Favorite Non DaemonHunter Warhammer 40000 force
So basically you like your men to charge and Yell "Waaaaagh!"?
I must say that is generally the best way to make people Piss themselfs

Re: Your Favorite Non DaemonHunter Warhammer 40000 force
Space marines are good for begginners, as their basic trooper has agood armour save and is generally hard to kill. But in the hands of an expert these guys are excellents(plus the models are great for converting).
Grey Knights though are bloody tactical and I wouldn't reccommend anybody starting with grey knights as they might find they're a bit harder to use than things like orks and Marines.

Re: Your Favorite Non DaemonHunter Warhammer 40000 force
have a friend who plays tau that seems to be a very tactical army, almost no close combat at all
Re: Your Favorite Non DaemonHunter Warhammer 40000 force
It depends if he's using Just Tau or if he's using allied forces, like the Vespin or the Kroot (Their both close combat troops). I really like the Tau Models...I just can't paint them.

Re: Your Favorite Non DaemonHunter Warhammer 40000 force
I don't like tau, all they do is stand there and shoot everything to bits before you even get into close combat, and from 36 inches their range is very long. But all you have to do is drop a whirlwhind or to in your forces and deepstrike termies into their fire warriors and their a bit screwed.

I voted Eldar, i like the sort of Sun Tzu - Art of War feel to them plus they are highly adaptable. Infact in days of old they were my most successful army.
Space Wolves are an old favourite of mine aswell.

Re: Your Favorite Non DaemonHunter Warhammer 40000 force
You know I've found that every person who's been playing warhammer for a long time has once used Space Wolves but now not as many people use them. Me and Validi aside.
