This is an awesome picture. There have been rumors that this is the cover for the new Grey Knights codex, but I'm not so sure. Its a picture of the battle for Armageddon. That much is certain. But if this is how Grey Knights are going to turn out, I will be sorely tempted to walk away from them (heresy I know, but I don't want Grey Knights turning into silver Space Marines)

Awesome picture I must admit. Too grandiose for my taste though and really doesn't capture for me what Grey Knights are all about.

From what I had heard the picture was a commission for a Games day from the over the course of the summer break. Apparently it was when a few thousand Grey Knights stormed some Daemon's keep in an attempt to kill him. The fluff surrounding it was that they succeeded, but only one Grey Knight lived after assaulting into the keep, and killing their daemonic foe.

As far as I know at the moment, no this is not the promise of a new codex, nor will it probably be the front cover a new codex. Just a nice piece of artwork, which is part of a story- nothing more, and nothing less.

At least, that's what I've heard at least ^)-

While I long for updates to our codex, I second Brother Snowfire's comment...I don't want the Grey Knights becoming just another SM chapter w/ all the same FOC choices.

Personally, I'd rather have rhinos than jump packs for mobility. In all fairness, moving 12", assaulting 6", w/ SB and str6 attacks at WS5 is CHEESY (that's probably the main reason we don't have them and I'm glad for it).

Awesome picture, but only the main guy actually looks anything like a GK, basically every other model there is just a glorified SM in cool armour.
GK's dont go with all the adornment seen there, just strikes me as someone who doesn't know much about GK lore being paid to do something. As usual GWS would rather something cool to attract people than following the lore.

Also anyone else find it strange there are all these stories about hundreds/thousands of GK's going to kill a daemon and only one surviving.... considering how low the number of GKs there are meant to be its quite unrealistic
