That would indeed be a great conversion. I picture the spirit of this rule as just that, a bunch of flunkys following the big guy around to carry his stuff. One with his big book of daemon names, one with his incense burner, etc....
Re: Inquisitor Henchmen
Just wondering what peoples opinions are on acolytes buying a psychic power from the armory so long as its within the points limit?
Re: Inquisitor Henchmen
As psychic powers aint wargear (as far as i know) it's a no-no
Wargear only, not weapons, not psy powers.
That sucks, i want a hierophant with evicerator and a mystic with sanctuary, becouse it's the fluffiest unit i can think of in 40K.

Re: Inquisitor Henchmen
Even though psychic powers are listed in the Daemonhunter Armory, page 12 lists the characters that actually can take them.
Tactics: All good in theory, all gone to hell in practice.
Re: Inquisitor Henchmen
I still think psychic powers aint wargear.
Check it up.
The wargear page includes weapons, psy-powers,wargear and tank upgrades.
Only one category is stated as wargear.
A weapon isn't wargear, and i think psy-powers isn't either, as i think it doesn't count for wargear limit.

Re: Inquisitor Henchmen
I understand all of that and haven't ever tried to convince my opponents that they should be able to. I just had a thought while reading through the codex that being acolytes are students who are to become inquisitors some would be psykers. This is all based on fluff with no rule basing it was just a thought in the end.
Re: Inquisitor Henchmen
I understand that, i've played the roleplaying game dark heresy, where you play as inquistorial henchmen, (the inquisitor aint with us though) and i am a psyker.
I currently know holocaust and a bunch of minor psychic power.
And in alot of books acolytes have psychic powers, so i am in no doubt that henchmen might have psychic powers.
Sad that the dh rulebook doesn't let them have it.
Hmmm, the acolytes 15 pts from the armoury is only wargear right?
If it isn't, he might be able too have sanctuary. Which is nice.

Re: Inquisitor Henchmen
I reread it this morning. Acolytes may purchase "equipment" from the armory. So, I'd say that rules out psychic powers.
Re: Inquisitor Henchmen
Caius is right, in 40k at least.
Fluffwise, and I assume, in Dark Heresy, an Acolyte can be practically anything, from feral tribesman to a powerful psyker to a null.

Re: Inquisitor Henchmen
Yes, many neat modeling oppurtunities. So, who's going to do the 1st cherub with lightning claws?
Re: Inquisitor Henchmen
I'm begging anyone who has even the slightest conversion skills to do a Cherub with lightning claws. I have to see it. Man, just the thought alone is too funny.

Re: Inquisitor Henchmen
What's wrong with a servo skull with lightning claws?
Or a cyber eagle with lighning claws?
