Does Anyone Know When the New Codex is Coming Out?????

I'm just wondering if any of the knowledgable Brothers on Titan know anything about the release of the new Codex, for I have heared rumours circulating, but do not know whether it is worth buying the old Codex if a new one is coming out in a few weeks time

A few weeks and 4+ years you mean. It would be nice but I don't know where you're hearing those rumours. Any Inquisition stuff will most likely come at the tail end of everything else. You may even see another SM codex before ours if they come out with 6th edition. Buy the old codex. Trust me, it will be well-worn and dog-eared before you see a new one.

well as long as they keep their word it will be in this edition because they are trying to make a codex for everyone in this edition, though space wolfs are next and from what my friend is telling me so is nids codex.

It's going be another few more years at best guess- and mind you this is very much a guess!
As Cornix has stated Games Workshop is making an effort to have a new codex come out for each and every army in the 40k universe before 6th Edition hits in the far flung future. From the last I heard the Space Wolves are indeed next on the chopping block, making their return in October, with most likely Necrons, Tyranids- and maybe even the Dark Eldar at the close of the year. So it'll be a while to say the least.

At the least you have to see it from Games Workshops' point of view. They run three very successful hobbies (WH FB, WH 40k, and LOTR), each with a loyal and at times very much rabid fan base. As such each of their books, and mini ranges has to be top notch, and often are- and these things take time ^)-

From what I heard Dark Eldar are a high priority followed by Necron, can't say I've heard any rumours about Tyranids, but then I don't have any friends who play them either

Perhaps so brother, yet maybe you were reading about the new Imperial Armour book which includes Grey Knights.

Actually there were some rumors floating around about this last march when that poster for games day came out that depicted a "legendary battle" with loads of GK's, but the rumor mills are pretty quiet lately. Honestly I wouldn't count on it since something like 3 out of the last 4 new codices (including space wolves due out next month) have been imperial. Bell of Lost Souls is usually a good/accurate place to check up on this kind of thing. They're saying tyranids next then surprisingly blood angels (space hulk anyone)

Yeh well apparently New nid models are made and they are in play testing, try looking at the GWS website, the nid battleforce is no longer available.

Blood Angels just had a codex update recently. Yes it was the White Dwarf one. At that time GW couldn't justify a full codex for them as they didn't have enough fluff and stuff like that. Plus the Dark Angels were also released at the same time, and GW have always released Blood Angels and Dark Angels at the same time, ever since they were first introduced to the game in the Angels of Death suppliment. I know this because I worked for GW.

Dark Angels already have their own codex, so putting them into a codex with another army wouldn't make a lot of sense.

How old is the Tyranid codex? I'm wondering why they would be in the mix so soon to be redone.

I would guess the reason for Nids getting some new models would be to make those space hulk molds a bit more useful, same with the blood angels.
That being said its entirely possible thats what the rumours are based on (rather than the truth)

Looks like Nids were confirmed for January 2010 at Gamesday. If this is the way things are going we'll have have to wait for BT, DA, Tau, etc. redo's before our turn comes up.
