Re: Battlefleet Gothic
First of all you need to download the rules on the GW homepage i´m quit sure that there is a spanish version on the spanish GW side. Then you need a fleet. For a first game go for one capital ship (cruiser size) and some escorts (4-6).
I´m also still start playing BFG. Until now i´ve made only one game. All i can say is, Chaos and Imperial Navy are the easiest fleets and very good for noobs like us. A SM fleet will be extremly difficult to play.
For my first game i had used a Repulsive-class grand cruiser and 2x3 Idolator-class raiders. My opponent used a Imparial Cruiser with a Nova Cannon and 8 Firestorm escorts. I lost badly.

Re: Battlefleet Gothic
I have an entire ork fleet, made out of bits, so almost free!
I only played a couple of times, but escorts are far better than they look.
Don't underestimate them, they are nasty in packs and manouvre like hawks.
That's why ork force will have alot of ram ships.....

Re: Battlefleet Gothic
so, a space marine fleet is difficult to handle... now I have a challenge!
I saw some GK ships in the forge world web site...
BTW, there is no rules of BFG in spanish, but don't worry, I'll dowload it in english (I spend lots of money in my travel to England just to lear english

Re: Battlefleet Gothic
Do they actually have GK specific rules to go along with those models? Mass-fleet Shrouding and things, right? Seriously, how in-depth are the rules and can a decent sized battle be played in one night?
Tactics: All good in theory, all gone to hell in practice.
Re: Battlefleet Gothic
I have converted small tyranid fleet and played few games. The game is great fun. It is shame that GW does not support old games.
Re: Battlefleet Gothic
Might be starting a massive Imperial Battlefleet. I have cash to spare and I have a specalist centre near where I live.

Re: Battlefleet Gothic
I'm actually looking for a couple Battlefleet Gothic ships, just to paint/display.
Andy, do you have paypal? Maybe you could pick up an Imperial cruiser for me, I'll pay you for it via paypal, then once you get the money, you can post it to me. I live about 300 miles from the nearest GW... and god knows how far from the nearest specialist store. PM me if you're interested.

Re: Battlefleet Gothic
Me and my friends are planning a gothic campaign for the summer.
So i will gather my orks (1995 pts) and one will borrow 2000 pts chaos from the guy who plays 2000 pts imperial, and the last (so far) will play tyranid.
Tip though, don't play necron, i never played against them but i have heard enough warnings about their outrageous rules.
I have skimmed read them too and truth be told, they are ultimate cheese in gothic.
Even cheatier than eldar, and that is something.
