Arming Grey Knights?
I am wondering. How do people arm their Grey Knights/
Power Armour and Terminators.
What special weapons do you use?
What squad sizes do you run?
What do you give BCs and Justs?
What role do you use each unit for?
Thanks in Advance

POWER ARMOURED GREY KNIGHTS
Depends on the mission being played. In objective missions I like to run minimal squads with one of the two special weapons in each squad, three will have psycannons and two have incinerators. The psycannon squads squat on objectives while the incinerator squads work in tandem with my terminator squads to kill things and take enemy held objectives.
In kill-point games I use full squads with one of each special weapon. They hold back and support the terminator squads then rush in when the enemy squads are more manageable sizes.
My Justicars get targeters, frag grenades and melta bombs.
TACTICAL DREADNOUGHT ARMOURED GREY KNIGHTS
Grand Master with psycannon & nemesis force weapon. One thunderhammer/stormshield per three terminators and an incinerator in each squad. Their job is to kill things and tie up shooty units.

Re: Arming Grey Knights?
Termies
termies shoot exactly like the grey knights in power armor, but cost more. their one advantge is they can move and still fire the psycannon 36, but if your just shooting with the terminators, your doing it wrong. Your paying hefty pointy for all those s6 power weapons. also alot of people deep strike termies or put em in a land raider, so they don't get alot of shotting before they assualt.
TH SS is something you can do without, but works out alright if you do it. they provide some very nice anti vehicle on the change if you run into something with rear armor better then 10, they instakill t4, and if you run into a squad with only the leader having power weapons, they can absorb his hits with their invulns.
I personally build the rest of my list then see how many termies i can fit in with remaining points. generally i end up with 4-5, perfect land raider size and also big enough you can deep strike them and they probably wont all die right away, or AS MANY AS I POSSIBLY CAN because they do WORK.
psychic powers i usually give my HQ holocaust and hammerhand, and often just take brother captin stern. psychic hood is fun as well. if you have a grandmaster and hes walking across the board, psycannons are excellent.
Power armor
for fluff reasons i sometimes the entire army unguents, which is a greatthing aginst ap3 psychic powers. usually i take a small squad or two of 5-6 with two psycannons and maybe a targeter to sit on an objective and use shrouding and shoot things up. I take a 8-10 man squad with 1 incinerator, two if i'm feeling bold, and frag, maybe melta nades too. I occasionally pay for artificer armor, as i really don't like the justicar dying.

In GKTs would it be better to have-
1- 2 x Psys
2- 2 x Incin or
3- 1 x Incin 1 x Psy?

I take 'em both for well roundedness. The incinerator is very affective against unit's in cover, the thunderhammer for vehicles that they need to take out.

Re: Arming Grey Knights?
So a Bc with Pys, 4 termies with 1 Incin and 1 Th/SS
wouldnt that render half the weapons useless half the time?

Re: Arming Grey Knights?
GKT's can only be given one special weapon. The BC GKT is how you can get a second weapon in.

Re: Arming Grey Knights?
I have a 'cinnie and psycannon in every squad. Many argue against this but it works for me since all but one of my games I've played have been in a tournie. Each squad I feel is able to cope with whatever army-type I go up against. The 'cinnies do their work vs. horde and low armor targets. The psycannons are invaluable vs. armies with lots of light transports. I always try to take melta bombs for the Justicars and giving Hammerhand to the GM/B-C reduces the need for a TH/SS. Since I almost always assault with my Termies from an LR the 'cinnie is rarely ever sitting idle for long. The best squad size for GK's seem to be around 8. This gives them decent staying power and still enables you to field a possible 3 squads even at 1500 points.

Re: Arming Grey Knights?
Wisely said NF, 7-8 can be fierce. Placing one of both in each squad seems a bit risky to me, as I worry about the Psycannons not being used to their fullest potential and the units losing out on 2 Str6 attacks in close combat.

That's the way to go Hendybadger. Find your own mix as everyone's play-style will differ in some way.
