Just back from my first battle with my new SW list and the new ´dex against Necrons

I got the first Turn

Turn 1 SW:
I deployed the Rhinos at the beginning near my mission target at the center of my deployment zone. At the beginning of the movement phase my two Land Raider moved 12" onto the table toward the other mission target. The Rhinos moved also 12" ahead.
The Crusader killed two Necron Warriors from the first squad.



Turn 1 Necrons:
The rest of the Necron army appeared. The second Monolith was still in reserve. My opponent took up a defensive position around his mission target (at the bottom of the tower)
The first Monolith fired at Morkai´s Fury and destroyed the stormbolter


Turn 2 SW:
I moved both Rhinos and the Crusader 12" ahead. The Land Raider moved 6" ahead and fired both LasCannons at the 1st Monolith but did nothing. The Crusader fired his Assault Cannons once again at the 1st Necron Warrior squad and killed another one.


Turn 2 Necrons:
The second Monolith appeared near my mission target. My opponent teleported the 1st Warrior squad through the 2nd Mono. The 1st Mono fired at my LRC and destroyed it. The BC climed, under the fire of the Destroyer Lord, the Immortals and the 1st Detroyer squad, out of the wreck. Two off the BC died at the attempt. The heavy Destroyers fired at the LR and destroyed one LasCannon. The second Rhino lost his Stormbolter and was destroyed completly in CC by the Wraiths.



Turn 3 SW:
The LR turned right toward the 2nd Mono and the 1st Warrior squad. Wolf Lord Dragongaze and his WGs stormed out off the LR to face the Warriors. The BC under the lead of WG Gunnar moved closer to the 1st Destroyer squad. GH pack Jurgen took aim at the Wraiths and shot dow two off those abominations with their Meltas. GH pack Olaf opened fire at the 2nd Warrior pack and killed 3. In CC they killed the remaining 8 Warriors. Pack Jurgen tried to kill the last Wraith in CC but failed. The BCs moved in for the kill and brought down two of the Destroyers of the 1st squad. The Wolf Lord and the WG ripped nine Warriors off the 1st squad into pieces forceing the last one to flee from the table.




Turn 3 Necrons:
The 2nd Mono fired at the WL and WG and brought down the Lord and 3 off the WG. The Destroyer Lord and the Immortals killed 5 BC and the last Wraith killed one GH off Pack Jurgen.




Turn 4 SW:
Pack Olaf and the BC fired at the Destroyer Lord and the Immortals. My opponent decided to take the hits on his Lord who took two wounds. During the CC phase the BC killed 4 off the Immortals and pack Jurgen ripped the last Wraith into pieces. The Necrons phased out. I keep the enemy away from my mission target and was able to control the other with the BC.


Victory for the Space Wolves. For Russ! For the Emperor.

It was an interesting fight. My opponent was very lucky that i missed so many attacks in CC. Otherwise the game would have ended in Turn 3. My biggest problem had been the lack of more LasCannons. The Chainfist and the meltas had not been very effective against the Monos. The Necrons themself had been no match for the packs.
